Solution to Low resolution shadows

The other great idea is we should be able to put high res cockpit shadow and ignore the rest.

There were already votes for excluding cockpit texture settings from the rest. Cockpit is where we spend 100% time so we need it with high quality textures, lighting and shadows, while the outside is not that important.

I do not understand why in MP, Me and my team we set shadows on High, some shadows are better for any user, while my shadows are all "zigzag" ... there are graphic cards that better render a setting like shadows ?!

Compare other gr. options and check for custom nvcpl settings.

Game looks beautiful in all other aspects, my stupid OCD brain fixates on their imperfections. Its' so distracting for me. Thankfully I dont notice them when people are shooting at me:)

Because they don't reply to every thread and question asked on the forum. I prefer them to read some and continue using their valuable time for work instead of writing essays.

You have workarounds that work if you instinst on using what is not available default in game, ie. options.lua - set shadows to "0".

It feels logical to me that our community manager might do the liaison legwork and comment on behalf of ED.

This is my current setting for shadow. It will disable everything except the crisp cockpit shadow. I have extremely good performance with this. :)

Updated the release version today. Still no way to select "ultra" in the settings.

Can somebody explain me why there is a setting "ultra" in the shadows.lua configuration file,

There used to be an ultra setting available in-game but it was removed. Don't know why.

Hmmm, I was looking for why cockpit shadows are so pixelated, even on high settings, and came across this thread.

 

Strange that they don't just make a setting for it. It would take them 10 minutes max.
