Still have to make money!

while fixing bugs and improving/creating features, isnt directly making money like releasing modules, in the long term, it very well creates income. less bugs, more complete features attract customers, and also keep customers happy...and guess what they do...they buy more stuff...

on the other hand, a totally bugged game, can create modules with no end, and still commit financial suicide i suppose, because what is a "put any aircraft into here" worth, if the core game is not playable...

Hopefully they will stop building new modules for a spell and concentrate on fixing the engine. Lighting, ATC AI models and performance all need some fixing to name but a few.

Just a guess but Eagle Dynamics probably merged with Belsimtek for the purpose of having Belsimtek team focused on aircraft designs and the original Eagle Dynamics teams focusing on the game / graphics engine, mission editor tools, persistent server development, etc.

But like I said, just my off the wall guess.

Can't help being really pissed out or just really sad to see how rotaries were completely ignored in this video. This is almost insulting. Hell, even the Yak 52 made it. This is a big deception and I feel really let down by ED on this one. 2019 is apparently going to be a pretty lousy year for us rotorheads.

The Ka-50 is getting reworked, I believe the cockpit is ongoing as we speak. When I update my dev build, I see many times the Hind getting updates, so active development there. Polychop is working on the Bo-105 right now. As for the video, it was also shy on A-10C footage, but trailers can only be so long before they turn into short films, helo guys are not forgotten. All aspects of the sim have a bright future.

Bo-105 by Polychop? that was not a MilTech 5 project or has been "returned" by Oliver to Sven?

You can move personal to other projects, starting them as 3D modellers, texturizers, and some coders, meanwhile the system engineers, testers and other personal complete the in progress module.

A-10C and Ka-50 cockpits are getting converted to new textures, P-51D has another variant with new higher octane coming later, the K-4 and D-9 are getting new cockpits, all the WWII warbirds are getting their cooling reworked, and a DM is in internal testing. Much more beyond that... there is a very nice balance of new and update/fixing going on if you look close enough.
