Xilon_x Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 another thing I noticed in the DCS simulator and the lack of IDROVOLANTI 'makes me think that the simulator does not cover all the roles r all types of AIR FORCES do not have a HYDROVOLANT in a simulator and a SERIOUS ERROR.

SonofEil Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 My current wish list now lies solely in helicopters. I’m excited the Mi-24 is in development and I’d absolutely love to see any variant of Chinook, CH-53, and MD-500 family of choppers in DCS. I’m happy to say that once the Viper and Tomcat arrive my fixed wing ‘dream sheet’ from long ago will actually be fulfilled. I’ll still purchase whatever ED and a select few 3rd party devs produce after that of course. Gotta support the cause. i7 7700K @5.0, 1080Ti, 32GB DDR4, HMD Odyssey, TM WH, Crosswind Rudder...

CBoB Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) I would be really neat to see something that is rarely done like the CF-100 Canuck or something. It was in service but is rarely modeled and would provide something different to fly. I know I'll always fly the Hornet primarily and others on occasion. I'd like an oddball. Thats why I suggested the Voodoo, even better would be the CF-101B but good luck having a CF designation in DCS :( And because the Voodoo's unguided nuclear rockets would be awesome lol Edited February 6, 2019 by CBoB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sn8ke_iis Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Any late WWII German nightfighter with a radar. F-111, F-8, F-4, A-6 and an appropriate map for DCS 'Nam And an ASK-21, the Yak-52 documentation says the YAK can be used as a towplane.

KittyVCAW-1 Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) Holy! I scrolled all the way down to add the F117 only to find that was the very last post. We are of like mind @hughlb Played Microprose's F117A Stealth Fighter quite a bit ( ) Love the deep strike, night time stealth missions planning mission to get around SA2, avoid AAA when the shit hit the fan. Fun times. I used to play that as a kid constantly. I loved that game. It's $1.47 on steam right now. I just thought about it tonight and found it on there. Needless to say at that price i bought it instantly. It looks and sounds really fantastic. One more thing.....i find it disheartening noone has mentioned the Mitsubishi A6M Zero..... Cake Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I think we need a much broader range of aircraft. So, obviously it would be cool to fly them all, but we need a bigger variety of AI aircraft including civilian models: This would be a good start toward covering the 60's through recent times and help with many of the newer maps and possible scenarios... ET22RULZ Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 My instabuy list in no particular order (I don't bother putting here planes which were anncounced) with a short reason why: Soviet/Warasw Pact: Yak-17 - fun little early jet, so bad it's good Yak-23 - as above MiG-17 - better, afterburning MiG-15? Yes, please. Su-22 - strike plane that isn't Su-25 Su-15 - interceptor with a lot of history MiG-25 - raw power TS-11 - fun simple Polish jet trainer, with many in private collections USA/NATO: F-102 - see below F-106 - very nice looking plane with interesting GCI avionics F-104 - I'd like to see for myself just how bad it was [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Cake Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I think you missed one, LOL. :pilotfly: I think we are doing pretty well on flyable models, but more could be done to get other aircraft into DCS World. In a relative sense, we had a good number of AI AC in the original Su-27 Flanker sim. Seems like we could get a new one or two every month or two. 6700K@4.6 48Gb - 1080Ti Hybrid - Warthog - RIFT
