That's because it is a real photo, rather than a painting .. when the F-14 was in service, digital cameras were still inexistent (The Nikon D1 appeared on 1999) ... I prefer the real deal, instead of a drawing :)

I'm confused by this thread. Does anyone exist who is a fan of that wallpaper? I assumed it was put there by a disgruntled former employee; no other explanation made any sense.

And rename the image you want to use to base-menu-window

- go to saved game/dcs/config/ (or the openbeta equivalent folder), find pluginsEnabled.lua

- open it with notepad++ or another text editor

- add those modules you dont want to see into that lua file

 

For example:
