There are already a lot of people here for the expo. Looks like it may turn out to be a jolly old time.

Wags, ED really needs to do some type of advertising here. Out of the 100 people I have met only 2 were aware DCS even exists. So far they were all interested so hopefully some new DCS aviators come out of it.

That's right.

During the Int. Flightsimweekend in The Netherlands, we as DFDT (DutchFlankerDisplayTeam)

always get the question which add on of Microsoft Flightsimulator DCS is!!

Got to say Hi to Matt!

picture.php?albumid=1713&pictureid=10869

I was really surprised by how good this guy felt in the hands. I was pretty much against purchasing the Hornet grip at the price of $229 until I had it in my hand.

Plenty of people crashed and burned today. No Viper on display and the Hornets were getting swatted down all day. There were fours stations in total, two with VR and two without. All using the Thrustmaster Hornet Stick, Warthog Throttle and TPR Pedals.

picture.php?albumid=1713&pictureid=10872

Thrustmaster had everything out on display today. They had a section for their high-end stuff, a section for their entry level and the TPRs were out.

This is what the Thrustmaster / ED booth looked like all day, those guys did not get a break.

I have a ton more pictures that are not DCS related. There were full cockpit setups, full motion platforms and various in-betweens on display and available to try out.

I live nearby (20 minute drive). I considered going. I looked up the event this morning. There were only a handful of booths I would even be interested in looking at. Meeting Wags would have been the highlight. If it was more focused on combat flight simulation rather than airliners, ATC, X-Plane etc., then I might have gone. But I have better things to spend $100 on given that I think I would have been ready to leave in under an hour.

The Hornet stick looks nice. I will most certainly get one if they ever release it.

As it was a clouded over day, it was an opportunity to get up in my attic without boiling to death, so I spent the morning routing copper ethernet to my living room to support the recently relocated TV, Xbox, etc. Mission accomplished.

Met with Matt Wagner, executive producer of Eagle Dynamics, and had some great conversations about flight sims we love and about the possibility of a collaboration in the future.

To those who attended, was Wags able to show off any of the upcoming aircraft and maps?

They were using an F-18C A/A mission to demonstrate the New Hornet Stick...Didn't show off anything new.
