Airhunter
I really do hope we get a development update on the Viggen soon to finally get it out of EA. After the Tomcat it's still probably my favorite module.
Dwarf_Hunter
People just stop buying new modules! Let them first finish the early access modules to completely finished products with all systems 100% implemented. Als much as I want that F 14 Tomcat, I,m not buying it before they finished the Viggen completely and untill the F 14 is fully functional. LEts stop this early access money grabbing. Firstly, so what you are saying, stop DCS developing new features and everything stands still until it's to your liking? OR the developers work to the current specifications of DCS and finish what they planned ...oh and advertise it as finished until DCS introduce new developments and the module is out of date ? Modules and DCS are in continual development, as you can see changes are made on a weekly basis. As far as 'EA' is concerned, find another flight simulator that makes military aircraft to 'EA' level let alone so called finished !! Take a look at the Mig21, they are still making changes to a 'finished' aircraft due to the advancement of DCS. Lastly, every piece of software will have some bugs, it's human error so you will be waiting for hell to freeze over if you are expecting ANY software to be in a 100% elusive state. TLTeo
There's good arguments on both sides to be honest. On the one hand, the early access thing has been taken too far in DCS itself - the obvious one is the Hawk, but there are other modules that arguably should not have been released in the state in which they were. On the other, early access does provide developers with much needed income to continue their work. I personally think if a developer does it right (ie, being clear about what features are missing, showing that work is being done on said features, and limiting how many things actually do miss at release) I have no problem supporting them. Heatblur in particular does an excellent job of it imo; the Tomcat is still raw but the Viggen is only lacking very minor things, and it's been like that more or less since its release. Harlikwin
I recently got the module and I love it. But I'd love to see some more features for multiplayer/planning added. Like QFE for the waypoints you can add on the F10 map, or showing those points on the kneeboard like it does with ME made missions. mrkline
Lots of small stuff that you start to notice after flying around a bit. Bugs & missing features: Cockpit engine sounds have very noticeable loops (especially coming out of mil into lower power settings). There's a transparent square outside the cockpit (to the left of the instrument panel) that reflects sunlight: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=231641 TrackIR lets you stick your head through the canopy if you lean forward: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=230920 ILS symbology stuck on after landing: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=233152 Switches with a safety cover (flight computer clear, tank jettison, stores jettison, etc.) can be pushed through the cover, but don't do anything until you've lifted the cover. BK-90 altitude selection (TAKT IN 91xxx) doesn't work since the big BK-90 update, but is still in the manual. No clickable EP-13 controls Countermeasures switch doesn't work as advertised: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=217382 Various bind/mapping issues Cosmetic stuff: Master mode rotary doesn't make a sound when moved with a keybind. viper2097
Yeah, by all my love to HB for makeing such high grade modules like the Viggen and the Tomcat, I still hope that they will finish the Viggen asap. Heatblur seems to be a good company, lets hope that they will now also act like that. mrkline: You forgot the not dialable magnetic declination dial.
