Im not in a hurry on the viper. But the absurd megahype and megahurt on the f14 release was both amusing and tragic. As for me I know the viper will come before raz finishes the harrier...

Yes, that will come in Phase 2. Until the Hornet has its A/G radar in place, I wouldn't even begin to think about the Viper getting it.

 

One caveat there. With the APG68(v5) we are not getting SAR mapping and it is possible the code they developed long ago for Pulse-Doppler could lend to the Viper getting A/G at an earlier development time in comparison to the Hornet.

 

Either way the Hornet will get A/G first.

Me too!! The Hornet startup video was about 5 months before release. We are within that window for the F-16 as well, so hopefully we see something soon!
