Will there be different versions of the Ka-50 released ?

 

The one shown in BS screenshots has a fixed nose mounted optic, but there are other (newer ?) versions with the optics mounted on a rotative sphere.

Another A-10A and Apache simulator...

 

Thats a shame...after Ka-50 there will be another sequel of american-made aircrafts simulation...whish ED continue with the eastern machines...anyway...

One Question: Apart from the one flyable, which non-flyable A.I. Aircraft are there going to be in the KA-50 Module to aid in Missions/Mission Building etc etc?

Maybe I searched wrong but:

 

Q: What with rearming on the ground? Will there be possiblity to change weapons without exiting game to payload menu like we have now?

 

Q2: When I played some servers much ppl start from taxi not runway, so maybe good option would be add option of punishment to don't start from taxi? Example in multiplayer reduce player's points or something like that... In Singleplayer that would be speech from tower "what are you doing" "or too fast I guess" (when moving example 30 km\h) and fail mission. Of course Ka-50 won't start like plane so it would be in next DCS plane module.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Q: Yes, and you can request fuel load and external electrical power.

 

Q2: There is no "point" system planned and we have no such plan for this.

Yes, you can selectively change weapon load types when landed at an airbase or FARP.

Strange question:

 

Q: Will there be possible to add big storm and thunderbolt shoot down Ka-50?

I know there is not much possible but not one plane had BIG trouble after thounderbot shoot.

Any plan to relieve CPU's burden by using Physics on GPU?

 

Isn't there any new CPU helper like graphic card?

I saw news about 'physics on GPU'

 

'In the games of 2003 and beyond, physics have taken an increasing toll on the CPU. '

 

Physics of gravity on Ammos, human unit, a burden from transport plane, particles from damaged plane and collision of solid objects will be helped by 'Physics accelerator', won't it?

 

So.. more wainting, outcome better

Q: I know the AI is evolving and uses the SFM and all that, but will AI jets use different tactics for each jet? For example, Eagle likes to use TWS and turn away, Flankers like to F-pole, etc.

 

REQUEST: The water thing you have goin' on in LO really has to go. As it is, water is modelled under the entire map, with lakes represented as windows to the water below. There are two big problems with this:

- Water sucks up FPS, and with it being rendered under everything, it's horribly inefficient with resources. I love the highest water settings, and my computer can handle it over water but not land, that sucks.

- When flying over a lake that's about 3000ft ASL, your depth perception is totally gone. One lake in particular deep in the Caucasus gives me headaches to fly over.

That falls under the same question as dual-core parallel-processing stuff - you've got to code it to run on several processors at once.

 

To the best of my knowledge, the engine doesn't allow for that yet. Perhaps at some point in the future, but not with Black Shark.

Good point on the lakes, and now the terrain rises further above sea level it gets to be an even bigger problem.

 

The performance issue is a grey area. The team have said before that it takes more processing power to split up the water into several areas than it does to just have it modelled as one uniform ocean. May or may not still be true, but that's what's been said.

 

I do hope they can do something about the surface of the lakes, though . . .

I am going to carry over a question I had in another topic. Is the terrain of BS fit for the future? Would the planned new engine (whatever this includes) make the terrain technology of BS outdated? Would ED want to invest the time in upgrading the current terrain to the new technology, build it again from scratch or go on to a new theater?
