Missing HOTAS commands?

Just trying the A-10C II. Am I right in thinking that a lot of the HOTAS commands mentioned in the manual have not been implemented yet? As an example, DMS forward long supposedly being 'Map Quick toggle'. In the main, my HOTAS seems to function as per the original A-10C (with a couple of additions).

there are changes between A-10C one and two. give a look at the latest Chuck's guide. the pages that are changed have a different color border. donate if you can.

I certainly don't use all available commands, and I have not encountered any missing ones so far. I have manually re-created the charts from the flight manuals in Excel format and updated to reflect latest changes. Attached.

Thanks guys, maybe I was’t making my point well. What I am trying to say is that a lot of the new HOTAS commands mentioned in the manual aren’t working for me and I was asking if they are yet to be implemented.

As in post #1, an example is DMS forward long being Quick Toggle Map when in TAD. That doesn’t work for me, and neither do a lot of the new commands.

OK, that's what I was wondering. Were these commands not working for everyone and would be coming on stream later in EA, or was it just me..

They did right after A-10C II release, when they updated manual and user noticed that not everything is working.

Hmm, not so sure about that. I found quite a few not working. I’ll have a look in a few minutes and make a list.

Ok, it's a longer task than I thought! One thing though, the Coolie Hat down short doesn't swap my MFCDs. Anyone else seeing that?

It was also mentiond several times.

Coolie hat down no makes HMCS SOI. MFCDs swap isn't a thing in real plane and they removed it.

Can't remember exactly where I read that the new functions will be added during the EA period but you can see it's happening with the recent HMCS coolie switch logic. It's probably a post somewhere here on the forums (or maybe it was mentioned in one of Wags videos)

 

IIRC HOTAS logic has and will be changed to match the updated "suite" of the real jet (there's a discussion also here about the "suite 9" by Snoopy). It won't likely be a 1:1 representation of the real thing for obvious reason but close

Those graphics are straight out of the manual, and, obviously, contain the swap MFCD command. So, still some confusion, I guess.

I guess that the update of the coolie down command came after that initial post from NineLine so maybe they still have to reflect that in the manual?

Yes Coolie Switch aft short no longer swaps the two currently selected displays of the MFDs, as this command now makes the HMCS SOI.

 

If there are other HOTAS commands missing, don't think there are too many more - not off the top of my head.

It moves SOI from HUD to MAV and has worked since the first A-10C.

 

I'm not even sure what "CNTR Own" means. CEN and DEP are always centered on ownship. Unless that works in the EXP modes? Or if it's possible to not have ownship centered in the CEN/DEP modes somehow.

Hmm, China Hat forward short? Doesn't work for me in the original A-10 or Mk II.

Sure it does. If maverick is selected as the current weapon and HUD is SOI and MAV page is on one of the MFCDs then CHF tap moves SOI to MAV. Here's a track.

Don’t think the mav even has to be on the mfcd, it’ll open it.
