Спасибо @Brainfreeze и @speed-of-heat, ваше объяснение совершенно ясно, теперь я его понял.

Many thanks to the author of the mod. This mod is fantastic. Unfortunately, I have a Rift-s headset and I have to run Steam VR and Oculus Home together, which greatly reduces the fps. Dear SR Maybe there are plans to make a version of the mod for working with the Oculus without Steam VR?

I didn't create the mod. The author goes by fholger, frequents reddit.

Hit him up about the Oculus.

Hi Kybinec,

Have you tried using open composite? It does something magic which allows you to bypass steam vr so it shouldn't affect your frame rates.

This looks promising. I downloaded the Reshade zip and it seems to work quite well. Howver, I uninstalled it by deleting the the reshade-shaders folder, reshade.ini and reshadepreset.ini. Should I also delete the dxgi.dll?? (Not sure if this file was added and overwrote an original dxgi.dll or whether it is proprietary to Reshade only)

yes delete dxgi.dll, it’s part of Reshade.  You can always run a DCS repair if there is an issue.

they are defined in the Reshade.ini file.  you can change the keycode there.

INPUT]
ForceShortcutModifiers=1
InputProcessing=2
KeyEffects=35,0,0,0
KeyNextPreset=0,0,0,0
KeyOverlay=36,0,0,0
KeyPerformanceMode=0,0,0,0
KeyPreviousPreset=0,0,0,0
KeyReload=0,0,0,0
KeyScreenshot=44,0,0,0

Pretty sure reshade also allows you to redefine keybinds from within the UI menu

you can also change them through the UI, by going to the settings page, and then double click on the key you want to change home and then pressing the key you want to replace it with

Any of you tried combining this with the full ReShade?  I combined FXAA and while not as good as MSAA, it's definite improvement at very little performance hit.  Definitely reduces the shimmer that comes with sharpen.

You can use it with MSAA too.  There are GIF artifacts in the shots below but they're close to how it looks in VR.

100%

ReshadeFXAA_1.gif

Enlarged 200%

ReshadeFXAA_2.gif

Packaged as a mod.  I believe first time running, you need to open "Home" menu and check FXAA on.

Setting of course can be changed in the "Home" menu.  Above shots are taken with default FXAA setting.

Wow. Definitely see a reduction in jaggies, especially on the horizontal edge of the A-10 HUD. And certainly reduces the slight flickering of the sharpen mod.

Nice find brother.

Thanks for doing the package work on this! Does FXAA need to be turned on in nvidia menu as well or just leave it to managed by application? I will try it later this morning!

Some test results to help:

      Frametime in ms  Delta From Baseline
Ver Test Baseline GPU CPU GPU CPU  Changes
2.7.0.5118 26 Test 21 10.70 7.39     Shadows Reduced Frame Rate Impact MOD
2.7.0.5118 33 Test 21 11.51 7.70 -0.77 -0.39 Sharper Eye Reshade 1.2/0.800
2.7.0.5118 34 Test 21 11.51 7.59 -0.81 -0.20 Sharper Eye Reshade Performance Mode
2.7.0.5690 50 Test 26  12.19 7.53 -1.49 -0.14 VR Reshade Sharpen with FXAA

The GPU performance impact is doubled over the previous Sharper Eye version of the Reshade mod but the CPU impact is halved.

Visually at least to my eye the shimmering is much reduced, to a level personally i find acceptable for me, and i find the hud/instruments "cleaner"... as well.

N.B. my test 26 also has MSAA turned on going to try it with out and see

Turning off MSAA reduces the GPU frametime cost to be about that of the sharper eye cost... the shimmering is worse but still manageable, and the jaggies are still reduced

I seem to be getting better quality with SMAA.  AA quality is quite good but without getting as blurry as FXAA.  Still testing performance.

You can just drop these two files in /bin/reshade-shaders/Shaders/ and choose SMAA in Home menu.

SMAA.fxSMAA.fxh

You can't use both FXAA and SMAA.  FXAA will override SMAA.

Edit:  You need to install the Mod version I posted earlier before applying SMAA and other ReShade filters.

Nice. My system (and perception) prefer the SMAA. And unless fpsVR is lying to me, I'm seeing between 1-1.2 GPU frametime improvement with it enable.

FXAA seems darken more to "hide" the aliasing.
