sooooo........ apache is not out yet and it is starting to cause sleep deprivation and constant crying in my sleep ( definitely not in public 👀) so this is a safe space to let out your feelings with respect!

You might want to check in with your doctor about that..    Crying over non existent simulation is a bad place to be.

First suggestion: check out the Ka-50, Mi-24, Mi-8, and UH-1 modules. These offer more than enough to keep you occupied until the AH-64D is released. Use these as placeholders for future AH-64 missions.

 

Alternatively, look at older titles like DI's Apache Longbow (and Hind), Enemy Engaged, and others like Gunship 2000.

 

Finally, there are plenty of books to be had on the AH-64, most of which are pretty well known. I'll make a suggestion for a less-known one, "Dressed to Kill" by Charlotte Madison.

 

If you think you've got it bad, remember that the fans of the AH-1 have never gotten a dedicated entertainment simulator for that aircraft.

I actually like it when Modules get released with a reasonable time spacing between them, as it gives a chance to actually learn each new Module before the next one arrives.

 

I'm at the moment enjoying the Hind and hope that the Mosquito is at least still a couple of months into the future, and I wouldn't mind if the Apache gets released in January 2021, that way I can dedicate at least a couple of months to each aircraft.

No no no no no! Must have before Dec 24. My wife always ask "What would you like for Christmas" - I'm always like "uum.... I dunno".

 

This year I finally have it figured out... in advance! No explaining to the wife why I have to invest more money into DCS - it allows her to tick off the "We've got you a present for Christmas" tickbox - it's a win win win scenario. 

 

That's what the Kiowa was supposed to be last year - and boy - Christmas was a shambles when it wasn't released rushing to decide what to get me. My life is all mapped out now - finally getting things organised (and in advance) - please don't screw this up on me now. 😉

 

 

 

Edit: Mind you - if they release it anytime before December 20th - I may not be able to wait until Christmas day, and may buy it on my own - and then still be screwed, so I see my window of opportunity for success is quite small. 😆

i canot also wait for tha apache...... iam 41 and in the early pc days i played Jane's AH-64D Longbow.. This was 1996 . Since this time with DCS Ah-64 Apache Modul, this is the first realistic sim since 1996..... ED turn the on the Dev Turbo..... iI didn't need a  russian Hind....... 

 

My 3090 and Pimax 8kx waits for this...

Uh when is q4 exactly?

Modules I look forward too: BO-105, OH-58, AH-64, BS3, Eurofighter.

Given the fact there only very limited develop news in the Apache, and the fact that the pre order didn’t materialize or new announcements were made about other pre order dates I think you can forget about a Q4 early acces, let Alone full release.

Plan is still for pre-order late Summer. 

 

News will be more frequent as we get closer to pre-order and when early access eventually starts.

This! Given the complexity of the module (our Apache pilot calls it "flying computer ") I would say the EA highly likely will be released next year. Enjoy whatever you have right now and try to forget it for a while.
