May ED/DCS share a preview of TEDAC controls in pdf format similar to what was shared for the Cyclic/Collective?

The grips on TEDAC,  how do they actuate? I suppose they pitch up and down controlling gun elevation. But how is the gun rotated? Does the entire TEDAC unit rotate like american armor turret controller ( steering wheel like)? Or does it yaw like turret control in russian tanks? How much does it deflect?

The grips are fixed, they don't actuate the tads, the thumb force controller (kind of like a joystick on the right TEDAC handle) is how you drive (move) the tads (or selected sight minus the HMD).  The grips can rotate but it's designed to rotate to a position that the CPG is comfortable to hold his hands then it's fixed, think like adjusting a car seat.  Not for controlling anything.

Gun can also be controlled by either seat with the helmet, you will have HMD as your sight source, in which it will follow the path of your head up until it's limits.

Hey Hannibal, I just started designing the MFD for the TEDAC, and found this topic. Would you be willing to share your designs when finished? I'm going to be going the basic way with wiring all the buttons to a button controller that I have that controls up to 256 buttons (MFD and handles hopefully). Also, which monitor did you go with? I didn't see you post it.

A-10C - FC3 - CA - L-39 - UH1 - P-51 - Hawk - BS2 - F-86 - Gazelle - F-5E - AV8B - F/A-18C

i5-4590 - GTX 1060 - Oculus CV1 - TM:Warthog

Thanks. I also just spoke to my friend who has a huge 5-axis CNC at work. If I can make up the design in such a way that it's a desktop unit (like the honeycomb alpha yoke), he might be able to make it for me. Once I get a basic design done and tested, I'll let you know.

Anybody knows which buttons would be 3-way, 2-way, momentary, toggle-momentary on the TEDAC grips?

What joystick is that? That'd be a perfect match for a game like Steel Beasts!

I just have to figure out the multimonitor situation.

I currently updating my motion rig to Servo motor..have to find time to mess with the Lua file for multimonitor.

And find time to setup thingaverse to share files for this mfd build

Isn't that monitor a ted small for the device though?

Good job otherwise!
