Appreciate it'll be largely "im dissappointed at the delay" and "give ED a break I can wait" but Im just wondering where it is? Doesnt appear to be where the others are.

Have to say, I dont think it would be a very productive thread on this occassion and can almost draw up the sides already. I was just wondering if I was missing some new location for future, more interesting, newsletter threads.

Just wanted to say:

Very smart move ED, to prolong the Lunar sale 👍

Now that the AH-64D is postponed a bit, I was thinking about purchasing another module, to kill time while "waiting". The prolonged sale makes my choice much more easy. Thanks 😊

The "apology video"  convinced me to buy it as it looked so good.. Actually the swinging coat hangar conviced me to buy it.

SH-3 was largley an ASW/AEW platform wasnt it?  Think DCS has some way to go for meaningful ASW.  Now a CH53 or Chinook.................:-)

The coat hanger is very nice indeed. But I'm more worried about the CPG's TEDAC screen usage. While it's not a binocular viewed sight like the optical sights of the Mi24 there's no need to "peek in" the optics, you just have to maybe lean a bit closer to the screen. This is particularly important in VR.

In the AH64 videos the parts showing the TEDAC screen are displayed fullscreen. This mode is suitable when on a screen, but in VR it's not good / nausea inducing.

Can we have any detailed info on using the TEDAC screen in VR while we're waiting?

I know what you mean. I've loved the Apache since I was a kid (more of a AH-1W guy for sure tho) and I am OK with the A-10C but I just wonder if its going to be too complex for me to enjoy. I always seem to gravitate to the simpler systems modules like the Huey or Hind. Even the Harrier is quite intuitive systems wise but the Apache has me worried haha! I guess if its similar to the Black Shark I should be able to give it a go.

Agree with every word.

 

The Apache looks really cool and will certainly be fun to fly, but I'm worried it will be like flying the Huey with A-10CII systems complexity. I won't last an hour. Those MFDs look complex, and I'm not sure about looking down that much while in a chopper. I guess George will help, but down at treetop level, going fast, and a dozen buttons screaming "Push me now!". That's way past where my brain stops.

 

But that night vision gunsight eye candy is really nice. That's the stuff that gets me.

Yea, I’m a helicopter guy and I can’t say I’m super hyped for it. It’s already preordered and I’m sure it’ll be an awesome module. But it’s a little modern for my taste. I’d be more into an A model with steam gauges. Hopefully we’ll get a Blackhawk or chinook to escort with it soon. Ish.

Yes I'd have preferred the -A as well.
Any MH-60 or the likes in DCS and you'll have to drag me out of my sim seat for food and naps lest I forget...
