So, based on your polite and civilized  answer, there is no mission available?

That's correct, just like a few other modules.

You might not like or agree with the answer you got, but the fact really is you have to leaen to create missions if you want to use the module.

You can open any F18 quick mission in the editor, change the Lot 20 into the  F/A18E/F and save it as a different name.

has anyone gotten this mod to work?

Just had time to test it for a few minutes in 2D and worked fine on my side so far.

But i want to do further testings in VR.

About carrier ops: "The younger pilots are still quite capable of holding their heads forward against the forces. The older ones have been doing this too long and know better; sore necks make for poor sleep.'

Works just fine. Do a repair, place it into your saved games folder like other flyable mods. Disable C-130 mod if you have it and enjoy.

Downloaded the mod, but I´m missing some files: where is the file containing the aircraft mod (mods/aircraft/)?

There is a conflict with the Hercules mod by Anubis. It uses an outdated WSType Code for the GBU-31V3B ammo crates. Together with the Super Hornet mod (which uses the correct WSType code for this weapon) DCS stucks on loading screen.

Solution (found by SkateZilla) is to edit the Hercules_Loadout.lua:

Find this line:

Ammo_Pallet_Contents({user_name = _("Ammo GBU-31V3B*6 [12949lb]"), clsid = "Herc_Ammo_GBU_31_V3B_bombs", contents = "{GBU-31V3B}", count = 6, mass = 981, wstype = {4, 5, 36, GBU_31_V_3B}})--GBU-31V3B

Replace it with this line:

Ammo_Pallet_Contents({user_name = _("Ammo GBU-31V3B*6 [12949lb]"), clsid = "Herc_Ammo_GBU_31_V3B_bombs", contents = "{GBU-31V3B}", count = 6, mass = 981, wstype = "weapons.bombs.GBU_31_V_3B"})--GBU-31V3B

What do you mean? It's very simple. Just download the mod, unzip it and copy the whole unzipped folder into Saved Games\DCS\Mods\Aircraft.

I´m using OVGME, so I need all the path/files included in the zip file. I understood your statement, and I´d like to know the acronym for the aircraft, so I can create a folder and put everytnhing inside. For example , Cayuse is OH-6A, A4 is A-4E-C, and so on.....

The Root Folder should be \CJS Super Hornets v2.4\

Thanks! It worked! I think some instructions (for OVGME or direct install) could be helpful, attached to the file! But it´s just a suggestion......

You no longer need to use OVGME

if you don't have a mods folder I think you just create one, then create another folder called aircraft and put that folder inside the mods folder...the mods folder goes into the base game along with all the other folders and should appear below the missions folder

Excellent job on this Mod! I love the Growler, there is just something about looking out of the cockpit and seeing the jamming pods hanging down with the RAT spinning. One very minor critique, the RAT seems to be spinning a little slow, is that something that can be adjusted. or is that part of ED's core code?

Regardless, thank you it is an excellent Mod!

No, but it does still make it more convenient to install and uninstall mods. Accordingly, I have found it worthwhile to have a separate OVGME profile for the Saved Games folder.

If you use the extract function of windows it should automatically create a folder with the name of the zip file and put the content of the zip file into it. If you use 7zip, right click on the zip file, choose 7zip from the context menu and then Extract to "CJS Super Hornet v2.4". It isn't necessary to create an own folder manually.

For those they don't able or willing to join the CJS discord channel:

Download link to the latest mod version v2.3.3:

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/m3m0v7zugyltp/CJS_SuperBug_Hub_Folder

Latest hotfix v1.12 (needs to be installed after the mod):

CJS_Superhornet_Mod_Bugfixes_TGP_HMD_ALQ-249_and_others_v1.12.zip 6.83 MB · 59 downloads

To be clear, I highly recommend to join the discord channel for additional downloads, further information, development news and helpful advices.

Can mod v2.3.3 still be downloaded? If so, from where? Wanted to look at the file structure to properly delete it from my DCS install given that v.2.4 now gets installed into the Saved Games folder. Or would a cleanup and repair be the best way to approach this?

The best and cleanest way ist to proceed a cleanup and a repair including additional files.

Does the new version still work with the Echo19 sound pack for F/A-18E? Do we still need to "swap it out" for the original F/A-18C sound?

The E19 sound pack is included.

No, it uses some files of the F/A-18C module but doesn't overwrite or replace anything.
