Before the patch, the fixed-T would hit about 15° on the HUD ladder, AoA maxing at about 15 units, nose stable once it reaches nose-high attitude. After the patch, the fixed-T hits 19-20° on the HUD ladder, AoA maxing around 17-18 units, nose falls down to or below 15° instead of staying stable. Intended FM update? Same here. Its very violent...I wonder if this is a side effect of the landing gear tuning. Seems like maybe the compressed nose gear strut is re-extending way too hard after it's released from the catapult shuttle.

Hey @SparrowLT what is your load out/ airframe model? Ive not had this issue so i am wondering if you are potentially overstressing yourself? In the A model you generally want full afterburner although if you are fairly clean you can drop to zone 2. In the B model you want it in mil power only. hope this helps and good luck with it. I'm not sure, I tried the suspension preview .lua that Heatblur posted here before the Open Beta update and cat shots were normal with that modified .lua file. Callsign JoNay
There's a bug report in the bugs forum about the Cat shot black out. It seems it's caused if you're over 60k gross weight.

Delta59R
Idk if this happened with this update or a past one but at one point the 14B would do a TS/GS of 1340 @40kft and now it only will do 1180 clean. Spurts
1196 clean is correct per NAVAIR 00-110AF14-2. 1038 with tanks. 1314 clean is correct for the F-14A per the -1 of the same document printed in 1974.

Per the April 1977 Navair, F-14A is 1170 clean.. seems there are variations in the testing data. Then you have wiki saying 2.34 and MATS saying 2.38. Another Navair for the D model showing a hard wall at 2.0, seems it's all over the place. So when did the DCS "B" model get nerfed? From 1340 to 1180? fat creason
We'll have a shorter post about the B soon, but the B isn't as fast at the top end as the A. However, the B has better acceleration to reach top speed. You can easily see it in the charts if you google them. When did the B model top speed get dropped, adjusted, nerfed, (whatever you want to call it)? At one point in heatblur documentation the B was speced @ mach 2.38 and could do 1340gs clean at 40kft in sim. Why did it change? Why was it what it was at First? I know you guys do a lot of research so what made you guys think 2.34/ 2.38 was the magic number to being with? Great!, the A is faster, cool! I don't care! I just want to understand the questions above!
