OK, RAZBAM has a team with skills to optimize highly realistic sims to execute faster, to run at significantly higher FPS then inhouse ED teams. The wise choice for ED is pool talent with RAZBAM team. But no, they ED has to be big bear in the cave.

In that case you haven't followed this whole issue in very many places or with much detail.  It's been discussed in a number of places including with alleged scans of the legal docs from ED to Razbam.  If you do some digging you'll find it.  The source code thing was initial speculation when this first happened but it moved on from there.

Have you bothered to read the statement ED gave? Go take a good gander at it and change your opinion afterwards. Its also well known around here as well, so just lose the 'tude.

Have you ever thought to wonder if their "optimized planes" were due because they've been released and fleshed out YEARS AGO? To take a pot-shot at ED, what was the last module they've finished? Razbams been working on the Harrier for the better part of the last decade and the training missions and manuals arent even done yet. That big bear -  as you call them - have about 50% more fully functional aircraft in just DCS than Razbam has in most other platforms..and that should be saying something quite frankly.

Because ED owns the Intellectual Property of the engine, and it's this one item that RB allegedly tried to steal for use in another simulator.

No one is saying that you have to love ED. There's plenty of people in this very thread that have genuine gripes with ED, and plenty more that just love to complain period. But in this case, calling out RB for the bull, and trying to shift public perception away from 'their side of the story' may be the only way to get them to come back to the negotiating table, and hammer out a deal that ultimately gets the modules back in the store for people to buy, and work to resume on adding capabilities and features. Whether that's RB continuing the work, another third party, or ED themselves... I'll take any of the options. But the longer this goes on, the more screwed over we become.

Now why on Earth would I argue for ED to tap into Razbam to do a job that Razbam themselves seem to not want to do in the first place? Its KINDA the whole reason why we're here right now listening to little children bicker about their idols not failing or something or other. By the way, what kind of potato are you running?

Truth is, there will never be a productive business relation between ED and Razbam again. Trust is gone forever. Accept it. Get rid of Razbam as quick as possible. There will be only more damage to both, the longer it gets.

Me too got some Razbam modules and my very personal opinion on Razbam modules is, that their modules are more graphic blenders, than fully working flight simulations. Sure their modules did work until the points, where they are broken or not finished. Especially the flight models were far from the quality of ED´s or other 3rd party´s flight models, in my opinion. I don´t miss their modules. Get a refund as long as you can.  It´s already over, people just won´t accept it or enjoy watching something dying.

Following the message published by Ron Zambrano of Razbam Simulations, we believe that it is necessary to rectify some of the unfounded allegations and to reassure the Community that everything is being done to resolve the current situation promptly and for the benefit of all concerned.
 
Without entering into the details of matters that are confidential to the parties, we firmly reject the allegations that the current disagreement between Eagle Dynamics and Razbam Simulations would be as stated by Razbam “due to circumstances completely beyond our control" and that it is "a situation that Razbam Simulations did not seek".
 
On the contrary, the current disagreement is the result of improper actions that have been taken by Razbam Simulations, in breach of its contractual obligations towards our company and of our legally protected IP rights, and for which we are seeking a reasonable and forward-looking commercial outcome rather than entertaining legal claims.
 
We very much regret that Ron Zambrano has decided, without even pre-advising us, to make these disparaging public statements and, more importantly, to take the customers of the Razbam developed aircraft as leverage in the discussions with us. 

Please rest assured, we are addressing the situation with the utmost attention and constructiveness.

This does not seem to be correct. ED apparently made an agreement with Razbam that allows them to make planes for the consumer market, but the accusation is that Razbam went behind their back to make a deal with a certain military to get the data package to enable them to make a plane, and then in exchange that military could use DCS to train their pilots. But ED doesn't want that. They want the military to use the military version of the sim, and to pay big money for that.

If you look at the EULA of DCS, it says this: "GOVERNMENT AND COMMERCIAL ENTITIES MAY NOT USE THIS SOFTWARE UNDER THIS EULA. Government and commercial entities wishing to use this software in conjunction with training or demonstrator applications must obtain a license directly from Eagle Dynamics SA under a separate pricing structure and terms of use."

And from the other side, there apparently are grievances by at least two third party developers over payments not made (or being delayed very long).

PS. Note that I've seen fairly credible evidence of what accusations have been made, but not really all that much evidence to back up those allegations.

Same. I have most modules.(I think all of Razbams) and I HAD the BAE Hawk. I'm invested and I really am rooting for DCS/EagleD and everyone else. The tenor of my comments may not seem so, but truly. Just going to be a bit more judicious with my purchases.
