[Remaster] Can't uncage back-up ADI after cold start?

Hey, not sure if I am doing wrong, but I seem to be unable to uncage the back-up ADI.

Left-click, right-click, mouse scroll don't work - and yes I have full power: this is after cold start and everything else works just fine.
Thanks.

Worked for me after some fiddling around. Need to recheck, but I guess it was right mouse button hold and drag mouse or scroll wheel. Looks like a lot of scrolling is needed.

Initial issue. Got it working, right click and lots of wheel scroll I think.

Yes that was it indeed: keep scrolling until it works...

Do you mean the Standby ADI?  As of last night, the Standby ADI will not uncage for me.

But I do not have the F-5 Remaster, happens on the original F-5 for me.

Hi all, anyone having issues uncaging the standby HSI? Knob doesn't apear to do anything.

Kind regards
Hi, it works ok for me. You may have to turn the knob more than before, or it could be reversed - I can't remember. But it has definitely worked.
Cheers!

keep turning the Knob anticlockwise (I think) eventually it reaches a spot where the cage knob and plunger snap closed thus uncaging the Stby AI

Well hmm...

I tried to do the Training Mission for Start-up, Taxi and Take Off.  But I quit do to frustration.  The training session hangs on this step, this is definitely a bug of some kind.  As turning the other knobs the rotation of the knob works instantly and correctly.

I agree it's a bug. Provide a track? Could even be from the cold start training. I know the startup by heart, so I haven't done the training for a while. But I can see that it will be an issue there. It does work for me in the cold start quick missions, but it works differently compared to the previous version.

Can't currently provide a track as I am not at my pc, but in my experience since the remaster I have to scroll for what feels like an eternity go uncage but wventually it does work.

When you spawn in, the knob is at the end of its course (to the right), which is why LAtl + LShift + V does not work. Press and hold LAlt + LShift +X first, then you will see LAlt + LShift +V working as well.

It's just very sloooooow. I'll report this.

For the mouse scrolling too? I guess they're related. Never tried the keybinds.

I managed to speed it up:

  1. Edit .\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\F-5E 2024\Cockpit\Scripts\clickabledata.lua
  2. Spot line 323
  3. Replace 0.0125 by 0.0250
  4. Save and enjoy.

Before I ask devs to change this value, I'd like to make sure 0.0250 is satisfying. Can you gents try it and report back, please?

Changing to these values feels like a usual experience.

I also have this problem after updating to the remastered version of F5E. Can't rotate with mouse and the suggested Lshift LAlt V does not work. Nothing happens

@jfri The issue is reported. Here's a workaround in the meantime:

I was able to uncage it by rotating the knob in the opposite direction of the instruction. After that another issue surfaced. It was difficult to make the lesson proceed even after setting the gauges to the instructed positions. It took a long time before going to the next step and I don't know why it did so at that time
