Here is what you can expect:

  • Two new airports: Bardufoss (ENDU) and Kittila (EFKT).
  • Additional towns and villages surrounding the new airfields.
  • Enhanced low-level terrain visuals.
  • Optimization pass of several urban and industrial blocks.
  • TACAN placed at Andoya, as requested.

Should we expect the frequencies for ATC at existing airfields to potentially change again?

If they do, would you please be kind to enough to advise which do change, such that I can update my kneeboards, without checking every airfield.

Be nice to see Evenes, Mosjoen  TACAN's in there to. I am assuming Bardufoss Tacan will be there as part of the airfield 🙂

I to want to know if the big Apron at Jokkmokk will be removed. And the short runways are way to wide.

Its horrible, I dont understand why they decided to mess up a base they already had done quite ok.

Hey @Fisherman82 We added the apron to help with AI functionality because planes were running into some trouble without it 😞 They’d sometimes face pathing issues, causing traffic jams on the airfield where nothing could take off, or even run out of fuel while taxiing from the farthest parking spot to the runway. To fix this, we wanted to create a solution that didn’t take away too many parking spots. The apron was designed to make things run smoother while keeping the airfield intact.

Nice to see Andoya Tacan now on the map. Unfortunately Bardufoss TACAN didn't come with the new airfield.

Is there any particular reason why the last airports to drop only receive their TACAN beacons several updates later?

2.9.9.2280 adds Andøya sans TACAN.

2.9.11.4686 adds TACAN for Andøya, adds Bardufoss sans TACAN.

What is the logic here..? 🙄

I am happy we receive frequent updates but it is lost on me why we must go 1-2 months between an airbase's addition and when it receives TACAN...

Best regards, radio navigator... who is still bitter that Orbx promised aurora borealis as a feature on Kola, and now says it's up to ED to add it.

I appreciate the twisted humor of the developers but this rusted barrel monster is hardly the memorial Draken that it should be in EFKT Kittilä.

Seems to be a relict from WW 2. Bachem Ba349 "Natter" (Colubrid). A one way rocket plane. Vertical take off. Armed with 24 rockets in the snub nose. Nick named "Beer crate Flak". After the war, Bachem became famous for building caravans (Eriba - Erich Bachem).
