What do the new TRIGGER CONDITIONS "ABSOLUTE TIME MORE" (and "LESS") do exactly?

They are based on the time from midnight [in seconds].

  • AI ground. Added "gray smoke" effect when unit HP reaches 50-25% (25-0% range has "black smoke").

I use set unit life to 60% and no smoke, I set to 50 or lower and the truck burns

I couldn't install the latest update because of the Heatblur Anti-virus issue.   Also I can't login to DCS when using the launcher to start the game.

Exclude the drive:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics folder in your Anti-Virus solution and perform a repair. You might need to the update again in the Launcher. The username/password is the same as in the E-Shop.
Cheers!

Thanks, however excluding a larger folder from an anti-virus scan is not good security practice.

Depends. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Then you need to wait until the false positives are whitelisted.

Hello ED Team,

I would like to take the time to thank you for all the hard work. I rarely post on the forums, unless I feel I can add something to the community. That being said, I feel it is necessary to tell you how blown away I am with patch 2.9.14.8222. I have been flying in VR for a long time and this patch is a massive win. I cannot seem to identify the exact reason, but this patch has made VR feel more real and connected to the environment. My performance has increased and seems more stable. I do not know if there was a change to the color profile of the world, but it looks more realistic. Clarity is much improved as everything has more detail (ground textures, trees & shadows, cockpit details & scratches). I run without any mods or the NV Inspector so I cannot see the DLSS Profile, but I am curious if the patch added the new transformer model and if this has helped with the increased the clarity. Everything together has made flying in VR a pleasure.

With a lot of my time spent on ground attack, I require the use of spotting dots to see ground targets at reasonable and realistic distances. I am enjoying the spotting dots after this patch, which appear to be very similar in size to the target and less overt. There also seems to be a smoother transition to the target's 3D model. Together they have made finding and tracking the target through roll in and weapon release more manageable. Previously I would often lose the target when the dots disappeared and left the 3D model blended into the ground texture. But now with the higher clarity in the image, the target stays more visible against the ground texture.

Flying is a great passion of mine, and DCS provides me the opportunity to operate so many amazing machines and in great detail. Growing up using all types of flight simulators, I choose to remember where we came from and continue to be amazed by how far we have come. It is necessary to have goals and yearn for more (Eagerly awaiting the Dynamic Campaign. In due time), but I will revel in the opportunities I have in front of me today.

Wonderful work on the patch.

Thank you for all that you do,

RUBIX

I had the same issue after a Windows update. You can click a downward-pointing arrow to load your last settings from a file. The arrow is at the top of each column for the input devices. I'm not on my gaming computer right now, so I can't post a screenshot, but I’ll update the post later if you have trouble finding it. It's quite small, and I also missed it initially

Have you had a look into the input folder to see if the diff files are still there? Maybe Windows changed all the GUIDs for your peripherals and the files are still there. If they are, it's easy to fix it.

Only if the files are actually there. And if they are with old IDs, and you have 10 peripherals and 20 modules. You will have to do it 200 times, while there are way quicker ways to do it.

Isn't it possible to replace the old id's with the new ones using Notepad++?
You can search & replace in files.
Or don't I understand what you want to achieve?

You can do that with file names in Notepad++ too? Didn't know that, gotta try. I've been using PowerRenamer part Windows Power Tools from SysInternals.

Oh, ok, then I missed what you wanted to achive. Its about the filenames, not the content WITHIN the file names. Got'cha.

No, problem! Didn't get it was directed at me anyway.
And now you got me all jacked up for a possibly simpler solution!

PSA turbulence notation in the Mission Editor changed and wasn't mentioned in the patch notes. It used to be "(value)*0.1 feet" with a typical summer turbulence setting of say 35. Now it's in "feet" so you would need 3.5. I mistakenly put in "35" out of habit and the flight was....wild, to say the least.

Indeed: I flew a helicopter mission the other day with a friend. It was an interesting experience, but needless to say we decided to land asap and tweak the mission before proceeding further 😉

Yeah 35 makes the Chinook tip over while taxiing. I thought something had changed in the FM then realized my turbulence setting error. Put that at a more sane level of "2" and everything after was peachy.

Pretty big download for just 5 fixes?

I think there's always more included in a patch than what's listed, but this one is indeed quite striking.

I honestly don't recall EVER getting any response to a Declare request from a BLUE AWACS either.
