Where are the early access release dates? They only mention pre-orders.

I dont have a date to share currently. It depends on dev progress and QA checks, as soon as we can give a date we will, for now the pre-purchase is live with 30% discount.

thanks

So I assume that Steam version will be available at release, still no pre order?

We would like to have a steam pre-purchase, but steam requires a confirmed date and we dont have that yet. As soon as we know for sure we will let you know about steam.

thank you

Yeah, good point Lord Pyro......we already have the radar and avionics too as well as the flight model.

I'll wait and see the reviews as to just how 'new' this aircraft is.

Sorry mate......too pricey for my taste.......i'll wait for the sale.

pre-order is already 30% discount. You wont see more than that for years. But if it is not to your liking no worries, I hope in the future you will get to try it out and enjoy.

have a great weekend.

Will it have a proper implementation of Force Feedback simulation, like Aerges´s Mirage F1 and Heatblur´s F-14 and F-4?

Hi BigNewy

I've always been a massive DCS 'fan boy' and always will be.
Just trying to give some objective feedback.
I'm sure this aircraft will be the sort of thing people of our age could only have dreamed of as young people. (us being a similar age group).
Just got to be a bit more discerning with the pennies as there's some great modules coming up!
Hope you have a great weekend too.
All the best.

Could you put a Steam product page up, at least? AFAIK, that doesn't require a release date. Once you have the date, you can then open it up for preorders.

If you do, I promise to wishlist it, so that I get notified when preorders are on. 🙂

Best news since DCS Iraq, for me. 🙂👍 I'll sure grab it when I can. Hardware upgrades recently made things a bit difficult for software side purchases on my end.

I find this a valuable milestone for ED as it is a REDfor fighter jet, and I cheering for its success for much more RED planes to come after. The player base is surely in need, regardless of their favorite side/country of origin for aircraft.

Done right, it will enrich everyones experience, imo. Great news that it is coming out of the oven finally.

Pilot body looks like it has animations. Have to say this looks incredible, I’ve not bought anything since the Razbam situation but I’m not going to be able to resist this one I love the Mig29.

True, but this hand movement looks like it lowers the visor, but without effect, it's probably not done, something like in Mi-24. F-15E has this option.

I won’t be buying anymore DCS modules until some of the more forgotten ones have been given some attention. Eagle Dynamics, you know which ones I am referring to.

I'm doing the same, the lack of quality updates for the CH-47 another module by ED have put my EA buying on hold for now.

Still the Mig 29 images look fantastic and I'm sure it will be worth a buy in 3-4 years

Is it just me? Maybe the best looking cockpit in DCS?

I'd be seriously concerned if it wasn't, since it's ED's first one based on 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry, and it's the most recent module.

I'm not 100% on this one. Although I love the Russian stuff, I'm not a big A2A guy, and I already have the FC3 version. Not sure if I'll get it.

But as I am on Steam, I have to wait anyway so there is time to ponder.

Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

30% is not enough discount for a very very early access.

For me.

I preffer to wait 3-4 years and see...

Hope this doesn’t come at the expense of performance however I accept everything needs to move on. Here’s hoping the eventual Vulcan implementation will improve things, can’t afford a big upgrade just yet.

I personally don't think photogrametry or laser scanning is directly correlated to bad performance. The meshes don't necessarily have more polygons, it is just the polygons are much closer to where they should be in with a different workflow. If that makes sense.

It is perfectly understandable to be wary of new software releases performances with the current global prices in hardware. I too relate to that.
