Having to learn all the Helo controls, memorize, and use them all. Then, learn the A-10 Controls and memorize them too!

If you are speaking about key controls,I think there will be lots of equivalents.EG : G will still be for the gear, enter to lock a target...

If you are speaking about procedures (like startup),I think it is possible to memorize two differents startups, depending of the plane.

It's sure that if one day there are 50 differents planes it will be hard, but I think it won't happen.(But it would be great ;) )

So I think we can memorize the controls.

Moreover, the A-10 cockpit will be written in English,it's not like the KA-50 that you can have in Russian (see in your options.)

So I think my head won't explode (Or I hope !:joystick:

Gonna Divide my time equally between the two.....Helo vs Fixed-Wing cannot stand to be compared in any event so one will not negate the other insofar as Gameplay is concerned :)

Just a note: The A-10 startup (at least of the engines) is a lot more automatised than the Ka-50 startup.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

i really do not think it will matter, if you are used to starting it and have done so for a fair bit, muscle memory will set in :)

I still jump into IL46 and still remember all the keys I used. The only one i have issues with is Falcon 4, and for that I have a checklist :)

I can handle it ;]

It is similar situation but much more simpler than there, where in school you have example one external language to learn and later you get second. Often I heard "I'll mistake words between these two languages" and ect sentences. It is not true, so why here with much simpler situation that should be a problem :D

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

All i have is that scene in Pulp Fiction...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

well. you have your primary controls on your HOTAS and use your mouse in the pit for stuff you wont use often, like Master Arm.

having worked on fighters and military aircraft for 20 years the A-10 will be a walk in the park.

Now where is that speed brakes control again?

i don't look at it so much as memorizing the keys etc.. just learning the systems.

"but Marge, every time I learn something new I forget something else. Remember when I took that Wine making class and forgot how to drive?"

"You didn't forget, you were drunk!"

"And HOW!"

Yeah, clickable cockpits are the perfect solution (plus HOTAS).
