My biggest dream: Mig-21 Fishbed.

War theatre: Vietnamese War. Think: Mig-21 against F-4 Phantom.

But I think, that is impossible ..... :(

Look at this:

Best regards.

Vietnam isn't DCS's theater. But happily the MiG-21 is still in use with many countries around the world. So is the F-5. :music_whistling:

Not in your lifetime :)

Well, you could sign non-disclosure agreement and build the module. But, in that case, DCS:F35 would never see sectors on our hard-drives :megalol: :megalol:

Most likely not enough, by a large margin ;)

Rockets, guns and bombs.... is all you ever need.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

MiG-21 and 23 in one module. Both have simple avionics, fishbed flies only straight and flogger flies like a brick. Could you imagine possibilities this fighters give ED creating theaters around Mediterranean sea?:D

The unknown is just more exciting to some than the known I guess. :pilotfly:

It's time for a multirole fighter!! F-16//F/A-18//Mig-29SMT, all of them sound very plausible to me as new DCS module

Regards!

How about F15 strike eagle? Janes F15 deserves an upgrade. We had A10a in LOMAC, we got A10c, can the F15c be "upgraded" the same way?

About the FA 18 superhornet: As much i would love to see this bird in DCS, there was a discusion at VRS forum: because some weapon parts of NATOPS are still classified, there is no way for devs to accuratelly model weapon systems for this airplane. But i'll keep my hope alive.

Here's the source: "For a jet combat sim the Tac manual is what devs need in order to fully model the weapons systems etc. Which is why ED has never done a Hornet addon for DCS or Lockon because they do not have enough information or the Tac manual to make a good attempt at making such an addon.(it would be very popular if someone did such an addon) Part of the reason why Falcon 4, Allied Forces and Open Falcon/Free Falcon 5 are so popular is not only because of the dynamic campaign but also because the F-16s systems is based off the F-16 manuals and most of the stuff you read in the manuals can be done in the sim."

Aha, Yeap. Now you are talking man! Sources do exist for MLU (MidLife Update) versions of F16C to be developed, if it is going to be decided so.

About the FA 18 superhornet...

Who is talking about SuperHornet? ;) My guess is there are enough information about legacy Hornet out there for ED making a good Hornet simulator. At least it seems maintenance manuals are avaible in some webpages like CHQ and similar.

I hope they don't do an F16. Not that I don't absolutely love her, but with FreeFalcon, OpenFalcon and Allied Force still alive and well I can't see myself buying it. Two words, dynamic campaign. 10 years and that Falcon community is still so strong and it's because of that campaign. Heck FreeFalcon 5 is releasing it's second patch tonight, that's how beloved that franchise still is and it's heart and soul is the campaign generator.

If they release an F16 (any variant) it'll have it's work cut out for it to compete with what's already out there.

I'd buy an Apache sim probably, and definitely a dynamic campaign generator for any current DCS product. I couldn't bring myself to actually buy Black Shark even though I followed its development for years because when it came time to whip out my wallet I didn't want to learn Russian avionics to fly in a scripted mission environment, no matter how many triggers there are.

Just my two cents.

Happy flying to all.

Dynamic campaign is for sofa parasites ;) I dont have that much time in my hands. :D

Its going strong because of thew avionics simulation and mission planning. Something we will see in its DCS iteration plus with advanced flight model on planes and missiles. Something F4 has not.

F4 engine is old. Everything in it feels dated. Should we see DCS: falcon then everything in it will be obsolete.

Ahh well, i'll stick to my wish of DCS: F-111

I dunno if there are any sources available, or if some military wants a sim... but **** it, make it anyway.

Same as the Jag, most systems are still class even though its out of service......... I know because I have a friend in the know..

replace DCS: falcon with DCS: Apache..

re-iterating pilot-copilot gunner multiplayer...

That never works. Who has people standing by constantly to be your pilot or your gunner when your ready to play? Sim's just don't have huge numbers.
