Hi..

 

Today i found out that the next DCS game will be based on WW2 mustang plane..

Little bit disappointing.. but well.. i will give it a try!

 

The Mustang is not the 3rd module in DCS if that swaht you mean??

I didn't think a dead horse could be beaten anymore than it already has ;)

 

And DCS F-117 would be VERY BORING...it could only carry 2 bombs....nothing more, nothing less!

Definately one of those cases where looking cool on the outside 'does not a flight sim make'.

There is Fighter , Helicopter , CAS plane , WW2 plane.. all that DCS is missing is a bomber.. why not F-117..? What do you think?

 

I can't think of a WORSE choice for a flight Sim... But there again I am bewildered by people who play Microsoft Flight Simulator and fly Airliners from Point to Point in real time...

 

I'd agree to an F-15E or an F-16CG/CJ... (Killing with HARMS is VERY entertaining...) If there was a way to do the F-15E Coop with a guy in front and a guy in back... I think it would be fun.

 

But true bomber missions are kinda like watching paint dry...VERY necessary In real life but as far as being entertaining...Not so much.

I doubt that the USAF would release enough information on the F-117 to make a remotely credible simulation.

Ya know, The truly classified stuff about the F-117 was directly related to Stealth technology. I believe MOST of the Avionics were off the shelf systems developed for other aircraft...(with a few exceptions)

 

And I know there was drama associated with getting the Dual Image seekers to play well together.

 

It could be done... Write the code so the plane has a minimal radar signature... Use something akin to the Targeting POD as seen in A-10C and give it ... 2 GBU -XX bombs... 5 hour mission... drop 2 bombs...

 

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn...

Its only fitting the Mig 21 goes against another aircraft from the same Era Soo these are the best 3 imho :)please don't knock me for this its just a poll.

I'm not making one but these 3 planes make the most sense.And I should've put the Mirage 5 Not the three..Israel flew Kifir's Modified versions of the 5.

 

If I'm not mistaken all these Planes have seen action against the Migs.

F4 vs Mig 15-23's

Mirage III-5's/kifirs vs Mig 15-21.

 

with maybe the exception of

F5E - ehh well not sure...but iMHO it also makes sense and would make for a good matchup.

 

If i could,i would make one but i nor have the time or $$$ and software to make such Dynamic 3rd party additions to the game...but god how i would love to do it :thumbup:

 

but yes if your going to bring up films.The Mirage/Kifir,F4,F5E have all been in movies.

 

PS.Humvee I see what you did there there was a Movie where they called the F4's Soviet Migs ;) and the Mirage/Kifir Mig 23's..but that is besides the point.;)
