DCS: Black Shark patch?

I´m simply looking forward to the awesome new features of this (More than a) patch release.

 

I guess we´re all just a bit too impatient when it comes to announcements and realeases of new content. That simply shows how we love this series.

Yes...you are absolutely right...threats like this are pressuring the dev teams. But not the threat alone, but the hole forum...this is actually usual. Offer a public possibility to communicate with your com and you will have as many peoples who are asking for release as people are around who try to solve this...this is not unusual...this is normal forum communication.

 

This is the patch feber.

 

Well-known among simmers. Sometimes (in extreme situations) can cause a delirious state, where the simmer affected start sweating, bitching and having an unrealistic view of problems.

This feber by itself is not contagious, but can spread to other forum members causing similar symptoms to other simmers.

This state tend to increase and if the patch is not released in 3-4 weeks or if there isn't any ETA aka : "when it's ready", could lead ultimately to a collective histeria...

Once released the feber and all the symptoms will almost immediately disappear leaving no hard feelings.

I don`t think anyone at ED feels "pressured" by a forum thread of people demanding a quick patch release. They have other forces that put pressure on them, but certainly not a few hobby simmers from their "secondary market".

 

Nothing from with threads like this tho. Its their public forum and people like to express their anticipation of the product and future patches.

As I mentioned above, this is an example. In other communities those things work well. It´s up to the community how to handle this. The Lock on Community is not familiar with this, but this is absolutely OK, since every community is different.

So these posts are not stupid. These are just a different views of the things, so saying that it is stupid is forcing a special behaviour which doesnt fit for everyone.

 

Basically I have no Problems with the way ED is going...because they are giving us an awesome stuff which is the best I´ve ever seen, and I totally believe that no other sim will ever reach the same level...thats my opinion.

I think it´s time to go back to topic.

 

So this is my question:

When the patch has been released and I want to play a MP Mission where FC2 and DCS BS are merged, how will it work to join?

 

Are the Serverlists of FC2 and DCS merged as well? Doesn´t it make any different about which game I´m running, to see the same serverlist? I asked me that myself the last couple days, may be it can be answered already.

Off course it is my oppinion ^^. As is everything i post, am going to post, and have been posting(as long as my oppinion has not changed in the mean time)

 

Wether or not certain statements are "needed" in an environment where people come together to state their oppinion on a certain topic is controversal. I believe the more input from different angles, the better. If some readers judge certain statements to be stupid, that is well within their options of how they can consume them and for everyone to be evaluated on their own.

I don't believe anyone is demanding anything... I think some people take these posts a little to serious.. maybe the wrong smilies were attached...

 

I can speak for myself when I post, hey it's May,,, It is like saying, I am highly anticipating the patch...

 

So, whoever thinks these are demanding, they are not, it is just people chatting,, you know.. like in real life, as if they were all chatting in a room sitting in chairs yapping away... or at their computers..

 

We are not being pushy, or dumb, we know they are working on making good products, and have no intention of releasing buggy patches.. and that they would like to release their products and patches asap so they can move on to money making work...

1.2.1 FC2 patch is almost ready and we'll focus more on BS 1.0.2 patch very soon, I mean it's next RC. Not many issues are left for fixing before release.

1.2.1 FC2 patch is almost ready and we'll focus more on BS 1.0.2 patch very soon, I mean it's next RC. Not many issues are left for fixing before release.

I didn't even know FC2 needed patching. I thought it was BS that needed patching so that it would be matched to FC2 in order to share an online capability. I must say this has gotten pretty confusing. I bought FC2 soley for the online pairing with DCS only to find that that is a future implementation. I see the open Ka50 slots on MP FC2 servers, and I wonder (like a previous poster), "how will this work? Will I join this server through FC2, DCS, or either? And when I wish to switch from rotors to wings, will I need to switch executables?". Now we've got FC Platninum to muddy the waters further. It's ok. I've been distracted by another Russian sim recently. I've been "buying planes" more to reward development than to buy something I want. Same is true here. Add a driveable GAZ and I'll buy it.

for sure FC2 need the patch to fix some things, lot of people here prefer a patch to fix some bugs as well i believe
