Nice shots, however the light on the front of the jet is wrong and where is it coming from?

It's not wrong, it's just not supposed to be turned on during normal flight. The light sources are mounted on top of the gear bays IIRC. They're part of the night refueling lighting IIRC. Someone pls correct me if I'm wrong.

light source is from the wings far pylons , they are mounted under the wings but the beam is pointing and lighting the aircrafts nose section , and yes they are used for refuel at night .

 

refuel hatch is also lit for night ops.

Cool, now I know for sure where that is. I remember trying to sort the lights out in the FM and it was about as clear as mud. Will have to reread that part.
