This sim looks amazing and reading all the features it feels that it's a great hardcore sim. Too bad that I'm not so into military aviation sims, but it makes me want to buy it just to feel the airplane (Like I did with IL-2).

It makes me wonder how successful you would be if you made a civil aviation simulator.

There is so much money being spent around the MS flight simulator franchise that I can imagine the success you would achieve if you fully simulated a civil airplane (the Beechcraft King Air for example). Maybe the know how you have programing the AI would help you creating a decent and realistic Air Traffic Control. The "textures of the world" that i can see in the A-10 look very good and are more than enough for me.

 

I know this is a military forum and I don't want do upset no one, but the market really lacks a (almost) full systems simulated civil aircraft with decent realistic physics. X-plane have decent physics but it lacks on the simulation of systems and ATC.

 

Keep up the good work in making these amazing sims. I Wish you guys all the success you deserve.

I do not see ED doing that anytime, if ever.. in the future. Not only that but I hope they don't. I would rather see them put my money, and their time and effort into making more military aviation simulators.

All of you must think like that, the market of military sims needed something like this. It's really good to see someone developing something for hardcore users (whatever the subject is). I hope they're having the return they deserve. Maybe this will teach some production companies.

I respect everyone has different likes and dislikes but I find my self asking the question, what does a civil aircraft do, that a military one can't? And, if you simply like to fly, just learn the aircraft and don't use the weapon systems. Surely you can still enjoy an authentic and rewarding sim.

I love the level of fidelity that ED puts into their stuff, but I would have to agree that it would be a waste if they did it for FSX. There's already a ton of aftermarket products for FSX, and some of them at extreme levels of fidelity, I fear ED would be lost in the crowd. :cry:

Yes, well done guys. I have spent way to much of my life playing with my joystick but if you keep this up it may cost me another marriage. My cockpit and I have been exiled to the basement as stated in another post but during that relocation I allocated our very nice home theater system and intergraded it in to my pit. We all know what the coolest sound in the world is so the first thing I did was crank that thing up and went tank hunting with the GAU-8. Now over all the noise and me yelling with joy "YA! NO BOUNCY ROUNDS! GETSOME! WOOHOO!" I couldn't hear the love of my life yelling "What the hell is that noise?" She bust into my man cave and yells at me to turn that crap down! Crap I say?... That my dear is the sound of love! Now, it's dark in my man cave but I could see the bulging veins in her forehead and her eyes were crazy like a fox and her level of enjoyment for the GAU-8 is still quite low dispite the years of explanation from me. Just stepping in here to share my amazement on this beta.

 

I'm almost done setting up my CH gears and barely started the trainings. I totally LOVE the new interactive trainings. I feel I will assimilate data much faster with this new training system. I must say I haven't felt so exited in a damn while, even BS did not crack me up that much.

Ha! Reminds me of a song a band I was in did called "orgasm in F" due to the resonant frequency of the top of my amp. 12inch speaker cone FTW!

TKMR, well FSX is not that great. The systems are simplified, the ATC is simplified, physics are simplified, many addons available in the market are simplified...FSX is a simplified simulator. What I am looking for is simulator that doesn't simplifies nothing. I would like (and many friends that I know) a simulator with real systems, physics of a civil aircraft with a believable ATC. Pickup an A-10 and fly around is no fun.

 

The fun of flying in a civil aircraft is flying it by the book and by the FAA rules. IT wouldn't need to be a civil aircraft, a C-130 does a lot of transporting missions and many times completes a mission without firing any ammunition.

 

There is so much money around those addons for FSX, that I can't understand why there isn't a decent civil simulator. There is http://www.x-plane.com but it is developed by a single person...and even that one is better than FSX.

I just had an online flight with squad mate elDiablo and man was it a blast... early morning startup... taxing t runways... flying and climbing to 20000 ft.. looking for targets in Nevada desert map and locating them... taking them out with GBU's.... this sim is now so amassing!

 

A-10 in FC2/LO and this is so much.... just so much better in every aspect... this is a sim I've been dreaming of for years... a fighter or multirole aircraft to this standard is just kick ass... I don't need anything else...

 

REALLY AWESOME JOB DONE BY ED, EVEN IF ITS A BETA!

 

Graphics are great... heck when tweaked a bit this will run well on high end PC's.. and bloody worth the upgrade :D

Even if i'm totally lost, i feel like a 5 year old at Christmas in the deep end without armbands with my new toy and the bottom of the pool.... sooooo much to learn, so little time! I'm somewhat overawed, but with time i'm sure i'll get there.

 

Great simulator... i just need you to pop over to my house and teach me how it all works. :D It makes the A-10 in FC2 seem like a console arcade game!
