So now isn't a good time to point out that the ALSF-1 systems shown are inaccurate, the threshold lights aren't "keyed" properly, and that Creech shouldn't have any approach lights?

At this point I would honestly rather have it released (open beta?) first and fix some of the problems like that later.

Nah, let's just completely pick everything apart so that nobody EVER posts anything..

You people are amazing.. Can you not get the fact that when things are posted IN PROGRESS that means they are not DONE YET? I am sure WAGS could care less if every little tiny thing about that pic is absolutely perfect, we are supposed to appreciate the fact that he has posted something that we can SEE... It isn't meant to be the end all be all, it is a pic of what things may look like in EDGE..

NOTHING MORE AND NOTHING LESS

BITCH about no info, then BITCH when info is provided...

And then scratch your heads wondering why they don't want to provide weekly updates..

HMMM... That's a REAL thinker there..

The lesson I've learned is that with few exceptions, unless you get the devs to fix something while they're still actively working on it, chances are it won't get fixed for a very long time (if ever).

Save the drama.

Offering constructive criticism is not "picking things apart". Devs can't make improvements unless they know that something is wrong. I filed at least a hundred bug reports as a beta tester, and the devs have a thicker skin than you give them credit for.

Nope sorry, apples and oranges... This is not beta or alpha or anything else, it is a guy trying his best to please unreasonable people like yourself and getting shot down at every attempt.

If you want to nitpick a beta then by all means do so and provide that feedback as it is appropriate and appreciated. Nit picking a picture that is being provided simply as an EXAMPLE of the possibilities, being provided by a guy that is busting his ass for us... Is childish and shows really bad manners at the least..

Leave the criticism for when it is appropriate... (Like say when EDGE is released as beta..)

Guys, constructive criticism like Noodle's is ok, although its pretty early, I for one dont know anything about the lights at these airports, that said... its the trash talking about things that arent even in beta that get the Devs riled up.... so dont attack everyone with an opinion, and everyone with an opinion remember things are very early.

Its lookin really good there Wags. Have a strong feeling the landscapes of dcs world are going to stun so many current members and bring new pilots and much needed revenue to the dev's. Thanks for all the hard work!

I understand that EDGE is the future graphic engine. Will the new environment still be scripted in lua?

.

What do you exactly mean with "be scripted"?

+1

This basically sums it up. Regardless of a few minor things people are "picking apart," I think we're all excited for NTTR map and I for one am looking forward to this more than any future module.

Very cool effect. Is there any anticipation if it will automatic, or limited only for some "cinematic" views?

I dunno, but a closing Depth Of Field is used in a few Racing Sims to blur edges of the screen to simulate high sense of speed..
