As close as I can get it! What do you think??

Been waiting for quite a while to be able to finish my v2.1 of the Helios panel for A-10C and with the latest version, released just last night, I can finally call it complete.

What do you think?

Helios Front Panel.

In sim front panel shot at the same moment.

simv21.jpg

Both the Helios software (which is donation ware) and my profile (free of charge of course LOL) available at www.scsimulations.com

These shots show the front instrument panel but in my profile there are 8 hidden pullout panels for Left and Right console, Radio panel, Airport Chart panel, UFC, TISL panel, CDU and Warning Panel, and Lighting Panel. You can view all of these in the A10C download section of the Helios site. Just look for the file Loz SM v2.1

If you like the look of it and you have a spare monitor to run it on then I cannot recommend Helios highly enough.

A great addition to both this and Black Shark.

Wait, those two shots aren't the same? :wassat:

Kidding aside, that looks really good.

Great work! Although I'm still trying to figure out why you guys want to revert to a 2D cockpit in addition to the 3D one. "Just because you have the other monitor?" Hehe. :P

Nice plane on that gun...

For use on a touchscreen, of course.

Thanks, Loz. I've enjoyed your original profile, so this upgrade is awesome! :)

Question for anyone whose used this decidedly cool looking app.

Can it poll across a network?

I have 2 monitors on my server, and share one with the game machine as it never

particularly cared for the KVM switches I've tried.

I'd like to run Helios on the 2008 server, and be running the sim on the gaming

tower and have it all updating over a 1GB network?

Does this make sense?

Not too much to me LOL Never had much to do with networking but have a look over at scsimulations.com where I think I have seen some threads relating to that. :D

Just like in any other form of flight sim your Instrument panel is there fixed in front of you and doesn't move around as you look around. Plus, as Mac pointed out, it is so much easier and realistic to just reach out and push a button rather than having to take the mouse to it.

No problem jeffy. :)

Here are four pics showing all eight pullout panels.

They look overcrowded, of course because you rarely have to pull them out together like this, except maybe for a full start on the ground.

Left and Right Consoles

leftandrightconsoleq.jpg

You can see in the above, that after v1.33 and a request from a user to make provision for Non TM Warthog users, I'v included an Eng, APU, Flap, and Auto Pilot panel, as per the Warthog throttle.

Radio and CDU Consoles

radioandcduconsoles.jpg

Calling up the CDU panel automatically changes the right MFCD to the CDU page.

UFC and TISL panels

ufcandtislconsoles.jpg

Airport Chart and Lighting panels

Many thanks to SHU77 for his great work on the Airport Charts.

You could also PM Gadroc directly since he wrote the stuff. Here is his pit building thread.

And what exactly can I do with this little Program?

Can i manually drag the windows to a corresponding screen and, for example, have a touchscreen left of me, where I can put my left Console on?

Greetings

Certainly can. When you get used to the editor you can take any part of a profile and cut and paste to where you want. There are plenty of examples on the download section of www.scsimulations.com

If you are picturing moving panels on the fly, that only occurs in the editor. You create a layout in the editor but the display is fixed to the layout that you created. It is easy to manipulate and make changes but you can't move a panel to a new location while you are playing.
