Did anyone notice in the release notes the line that says:

"* Realistic afterburner and over-wing vapour effects"

?

Unless it's WIP photos in the announcement thread (or taken in the old engine), this is what the afterburner will probably look like:

Here's a question. I know it went live just today, but is the Mirage 2000C going to be available for pre-purchase on steam as well?

No.

from wags in official updates :

Regarding Steam: we plan on releasing it as a Steam DLC a bit after the release of the Open Beta on the DCS e-shop.

As always, we do NOT pre-sell (Early Access) DCS DLC on Steam.

ps this should probably be moved to m2k discussion and not russian wishlist thread

Would be possible to have a Su-25 with full clickable cockpit?

Now that we will have the trainer in witch most Russian pilots started their Career as ground attackers would be nice to have at least a Su-25A (I don’t even need the "T" version) with a full level of realism, clickable cockpit, etc.

Perhaps some people may find this strange but in the last month I found more interesting flying with the Su-25 than with the Su-25T.

Anyway quite sure the Su-25 has more simple avionics, It doesn’t even have an autopilot and most of the systems and performance is already know.

I would definitely pay the same amount of money for a full realistic Su-25 than for any other module.

I am also a su-25 fan. But I dont think it wil be a module. I can remember it was mentioned a while ago. I dont remember where...

But you never know how fast DCS is going to grow. 3d party dev group might be alot bigger in 2016. If there are enough costumers ofcourse.

i5 7600K OC 4.4, MSI Z270 Sli plus GTX 1080 OC, 2x16 GB Memory 3000 MHz, Windows 10

Thrustmaster Warthog, VKB pedals TrackIR 5.

I kind of hoped such a thing would be made reality by a cooperation between ED and a third party. Leatherneck for example has some systems working in the MiG-21 that are very similar or even identical in a Su-25 or the FC3 MiG-29, and some of the systems from ED's Ka-50 are also usable I guess.

I'd buy a A-10C level upgrade for the SU-25T or even the Su-25A. Perhaps not for 60 Dollars, but for 35 or so.

Same goes for all the FC3 planes, perhaps excluding the A-10A.

I voted for the Mig23mla. Like to see more cold war stuff, pre 4th generation.

This aircraft is interesting because historically it found itself pitted against 4th generation jets. That and you can't go wrong with a Russian variable sweep winged aircraft.

Although why isn't the Mig23mld on the list?

You do know they only made one of those, right?

No, I didn't. As far as I read it only had better ECM than the PD version (and it was an option in the vote).

In that case. Mig 31 please.

I don't know Gents,

Adding Su 35's etc might sound fun, but would wreak havoc on the MP aspect.

I'd prefer a Vanilla MiG 31 with the AIM 54 clone, since it would solve the BVR problems the Russians have, while not being too much of an auto take (which the F15 and EF Phoon are (or will be most likely)

I agree. But it's also unfair that the current aim120c in game was introduced in the year 2000 (modified version for F22 use). As far as I know, the R-27ER was introduced in 1985. If it was to be balanced (SU27 vs F15) then it should be all pre cold war tech. The F15 would only have the aim-120a version (introduced the same year the cold war ended). Even the earlier version of the C and the B model were introduced after the cold war.

The Russians need something.

Russia already has the R-77 already. The AIM-120C was IOC 1996.

And the Su-34 is certainly a post-Cold War plane.

I've also heard that due to problems, the R-27 wasn't fully integrated on the Su-27 until later in the 80s. Would love to know how true that is, though.

Yes but we don't have an Su-27 that can use the R-77. The Mig can use them, but that's not a Russian counter part to the F-15. The in game Aim-120C-5 was introduced in 2000.

We don't have the Su-34. I think you mean Su-33. Don't know what that has to do with this. Were talking cold war era F-15 vs Su-27.

What I'm saying is, if the F-15 gets post cold war era missiles, the Su-27 should get something, or it should be all cold war era technology. Is that not fair?

Just wanted to know why is the "Next DCS European Aircraft Wishlist" not a POLL like

Why are the Russian Aircraft, US aircraft, Next DCS helo and Next Maps a Poll Thread, and this one of European Aircraft is not?

It would be nice if someone could make one.
