I will be very surprised however, if any contrary facts will change my personal feelings.....

It has nothing to do with an attempt to change your personal feelings. It has everything to do with halting the misinformation spread as a result of a biassed post.

In other words, it is an attempt to bring to light the entire truth of the matter for the benefit of other users and not yourself and not just part of the truth advantageous to your opinion. I have neither the reason nor the desire to change your opinion - I merely want to ensure that the entire truth is known so as to better aid all in formulating their respective opinions.

That said, I have requested once and I will do so again: Kindly return to the topic at hand. If you still desire to continue this conversation then kindly do so via PM.

You forget that customers are not a bank. Whole that " Ill buy product to support future products" attitude is just wrong. I buy product because I like features, I'm really not interested what you are going to do with money I gave to you. If I want to start business I need Start-up Capital, thats beauty of capitalism.

I was addressing an individual that is happy to donate $100 to the cause and not anybody else......don't you now jump on the bandwagon and imply that my statement applied to all members - it did not. If he is happy to donate $100 then he as sure as hell is not going to miss $40.

As you said, if you like it, buy it. If not, don't.

Wags, beta testers, GA? Could you please answer this question?

Thanks.

By all appearances, yes. To have "improved takeoff and landing flight dynamics" they would need to at least rewrite the entire ground handling portion which would improve taxiing qualities. I expect it will be a lot more like one of their AFMs... hopefully to include toebrakes, eh?

Also is the F-15 cockpit click-able or just purely the 6DOF?

No, not clickable. Not sure about pre-release.

A-10A external model is the same one that DCS World 1.2.0 uses (which is highly detailed) the cockpit is the same as FC2 i believe.

It's simulating the AoA of the missile :)

Finally closer to the Falcon's missiles :)

There are some antique vintage videos of R-27 launch from the Su-27 and it looked similar however missile's front wasn't at so high angle - perhaps some modifications are required together with making such effect look more natural.

I hope now it really flies not like clear, pure parabola but it deviates from its path.

I guess the issue in that image is the direction of the exhaust and the direction of the missile doesn't match. Unless russia is developing thrust vectoring R-27 apart from R-73s.

BTW - has it been fixed? Weapons will not jump off from the internal pylons of Su-27\33. Same to Kh-29\58 mounted on AKU-58 pylon in Su-25T.

Let me put it like this; a product release happens:

Ru-bird fan: OMG why didn't the MiG get X?

US-bird fan: OMG why didn't the Eagle get Y?

Ru-bird fan: You don't need Y because you got Z!

US-bird fan: You ALSO got Z!

at the same time:

Europe-bird fan: You guys, please chill out for a sec and remember the rest of the world? :P

Sooooo true :D

No, I just notice that many forum members said that they will buy product to support buy they do not like that product. (same as for p51). And its not about DCS only, I see same behavior at many communities. :)

Bingo- that's one of the real root causes for these shenanigans over the years. People buying a product they don't care about under some delusion that "maybe if we support XYZ product, it'll get us better fast jets." Let's look at what's happened:

"Maybe if we support BS it'll get us updated fast jets".

Then two years later: "maybe if we support A-10, it'll get us updated high-fidelity fast jets".

And then, "maybe if we support BS2, we'll get a working environment with A-10 (which was part of the bill of sale for A-10 to begin with), and high fidelity fast jets".

Now: "maybe if we buy a flippin' WW2 prop fighter, maybe someday we'll get high-fidelity fast jets".

Let's take Wags at face value: that it takes a year to develop the cockpit at the level the F-15 is receiving. If ED were spending the resources on updates, bug fixes, and expansion of the line, we'd have been playing with 6DOF Eagles, Flankers, and Fulcrums in 2008. But no. Same old arguments, same old bugs. The only problem here is the stratification of the community, which works to ED's advantage- divide and conquer is now the name of the game.

Personally, I think this mentality stems from three things:

1. Not wanting to cope with a true migration away from Ubi,

2. not wanting to lose the cash cow that was the LO fan base, and

3. the aforementioned "support" delusion.

ED sells a product, you *don't* have to buy it. I didn't buy BS. I didn't buy A-10C. Didn't pick up BS2, and I for darn well certain won't buy P-51. I *will* buy FC3, because that is what I enjoy; the rest of it is sheepdip.

And so long as people sucker themselves into the belief that all this ancillary crap shows ED the way, and that they'll always have a place on your hard drive, they will continue to get mixed signals and this thinking that they need DCS to be everything to everybody, because that's what they think they need to do.

It's like buying an F-150 from Ford because you wish they'd make something like the Corvette. Only, Ford instead makes more trucks, not because they didn't get the memo, but because the memo was wrong.

DCS should have been the migration from Ubisoft with the same aircraft with AFMs across the board, but no- the community has gotten what it deserved by its blind faith.

It's really simple, gang- if you want fixed fast jets, buy FC3. And then don't buy another product ED (or anyone else) puts on the table until they put proper fast jets in DCS; it ain't rocket science.

3. the aforementioned "support" delusion.

Pretty sure the only delusion is the one you have in what it might take to acquire the rights to put out an A-10 level fidelity plane. I will give you the fact that they have stated they are making a US Fixed wing fighter, so they probably know what they are doing next, but the amount of data that needs to be collected and implemented its just insane... I only now realize this by looking at what it would take to put together a WWII fighter, I can only imagine what it would take to do modern fighter...

That's about as wishy-washy as you're accusing other people of doing.

No, you wouldn't have seen a migration from Ubi with AFM's across the board. Not a chance. ED spend a good amount of time working on the DCS base while developing for the ANG, which in and of itself was a significant and long-running project (and maybe it's still running? I don't know). The DCS A-10C itself was quite an expensive venture as well. There are things the DTS has that DCS doesn't, and vice versa - they are not 'copy and paste' projects.

In addition, ED does a whole bunch of other business that you'll likely never hear about. So yes, resources are put where they're needed, and that's not necessarily where you think they'd be needed.

You're just throwing around a lot of presumptive stuff without actually knowing much about the company - not that you should be to blame, ED does not and will not advertize their extra-curricular (as far as we're concerned) activities.

As for buying what you want - sure, I agree with that, but not with you implying that there's some overwhelming attitude of 'support the company'. Bollocks. A few people do so and are dissapointed, most seem to find their purchase worthwhile in some respect because in the end, they at least wanted to try that particular product, or because they fly with their friends, etc etc.

DCS should have been the migration from Ubisoft with the same aircraft with AFMs across the board, but no- the community has gotten what it deserved by its blind faith.
