He seemed like a brilliant, passionate, yet very humble man. I remember the first time I've heard of him, back in late 2007. I still didn't know anything about aircrafts at the time. I'm glad ED changed that for me, luckily :)

 

I haven't met Jim in person, yet I am extremely grateful for the legacy he left behind him; the greatest flight simulation community (and software) I have ever seen.

Very Bad news!!!!

I Met him some times in France and talk with him, he was more than a hero for me!

We lost avery GREAT man!

I only met him briefly at Duxford last year, but his enthusiasm and warmth were immediately apparent.

 

My condolences to friends, colleagues and family.

Just learn the bad news... this is a sad day for all of us, a terrible loss.

 

RIP Mr Mackonochie, condoleance to your familly.

 

Jim wasn't a simple name in the long list of people who create Flight Simulators, he was and still be one of the pillar of home flight simulation.

Bad , bad News !

 

I met him and spoke him , years ago.

It was at a LLTM session with a BS Presentation

 

I have pleasant memories of this brief Meeting.
