Petition Ivao/Vatsim

Hello everyone, sorry for my english.

wandering around the net I found this petition. I think it's very interesting.

ps: I hope I not have made a mistake and did not go to meet the ban.

L'importante non è stabilire se uno ha paura o meno, è saper convivere con la propria paura e non farsi condizionare dalla stessa. Ecco, il coraggio è questo, altrimenti non è più coraggio ma incoscienza.

IRIS releases Air Force Series Warthog Driver II

The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic in the early 1970s. The A-10 was designed for a United States Air Force requirement to provide close air support (CAS) for ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets with a limited air interdiction capability. It is the first U.S. Air Force aircraft designed exclusively for close air support.

The A-10 was designed around the GAU-8 Avenger, a heavy automatic cannon which forms the aircraft's primary armament. The aircraft's hull incorporates over 1,200 pounds (540 kg) of armor and was designed with survivability as a priority, with protective measures in place which enable the aircraft to continue flying even after taking significant damage.

Features

• Custom soundpack by IRIS AudioworX

• 3D Gauges for silky smooth operation and optimized performance.

• Custom payload manager for your on-board weapons.

• Superb flight models for the A-10A .

• A wide variety of paint-schemes in high resolution.

• Custom in cockpit audio for the pilot, airborne warning controller, tanker operator and more.

• Working GAU-8 Avenger cannon with sound effects.

• New design techniques including 'Lotus Style' landing light effects, in-game night vision capability and more.

Available in 4 editions for FSX, Prepar3D, and for the VRS TacPack.

VRS TacPack Now Available as Standalone

The VRS TacPack(v.1.4+) no longer requires the F/A-18E Superbug as a prerequisite for purchase. TacPack (end-user) and TacPack SDK (developer) is the de facto standard amoung combat aircraft developers who wish to leverage true military systems, including multi-player-compatible weapon systems, radar warning receiver, terrain-sampling A/G radar, FLIR video and HMD support in their FSX commercial and freeware projects.

The current list of active (disclosed) TacPack developers include:

Vertical Reality Simulations ( F/A-18E SuperbugX) - released

Aerosoft (F-14 TomcatX) - active development

Bear Studios (SU-30) - active development

Dino Cattaneo (F-14 Tomcat, F-35 Lightning II, T-45C Goshawk) - released

Iris Simulations (A-10 Warthog Driver II) - just released!

Metal2Mesh (F-15 Eagle, Mirage 2000C) - active development

Milviz (F4 Phantom) - active development

The Accusim Piper Cherokee has been released!! But I'm saving for getting this for their accusim C172 which I already own but grew tired of flying with CH fighterstick a prop sim.

photo-main.jpg?1397831158

Maybe I'll make them create a custom cessna handle for it.

I'm really transitioning to XP10 now and it looks like FSX may be my backup simulator.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

AVSIM reports that MS has sold the FS franchise

AVSIM is being told by multiple sources that Microsoft, after years of dickering and sometimes murky intentions, has sold the license to the FS franchise. We are not able to name our sources, but we can say they are authoritative and have been involved at various times in pursuing acquisition of this license.

We can also tell you that the licensee is not one that we would have thought to have been a logical candidate in terms of direct knowledge of the product, leading us to conclude that this licensee had the deepet pockets. We will be providing more news on this story as it develops. We look forward to an official announcement at the E3 coming this week.

Aerowinx PSX - 747-400 sim - screenshots

Link to a collection of screenshots of the coming 747-400 simulator by Aerowinx.

I'm not associated with Aerowinx in any way, shape or form. I just think the effort this one man development team has gone to deserves some attention and recognition.

The sim might be some way outside of most people's comfort zone in terms of price, but it's still nice to look at what one determined person can achieve.
