1.2.4.12179 is the latest version.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

It would be less confusing if the version number actually matched the update number.

1.2.4.12179 is the Version Number

.160 is Installer build related.

When Wags first announced the updates, he mentioned that he was hoping to give news of EDGE in the first edition. It obviously didn't work out that way, but it does suggest that we might not have to wait months for an insight.

Time will tell, but we live in hope. :)

I wonder if there are any plans to update the "briefing" images -- IIRC, they are limited to something like 512x512, which is fine for some kind of image/screenshot to glance at -- but in the past (Vergeev Group comes to mind), mission builders tried to use those images to detail flight plans, engagement areas, etc. The one's the VG created were astonishingly accurate -- didn't know at the time, but have since read alot about Soviet/Afghan war, including a bunch of plates/maps -- and I did a double-take and wondered where I had seen all of that symbology on a map before -- spooled up the VG campaign and there they were. Until this is "fixed" in the ME, I thought I would just include PDF's or something, along with any missions, but would be nice to be able to include them in the .miz itself.

I have one request regarding the GUI for missions is a tick/box for missions/campaigns completed by the player for the logbook that is selected.

Nice to have the weekly updates and really looking forward to the F-15C and the Su-27 as separate modules as I don't own FC3.

Separate modules ? I missed that detail.

I thought they would give AFM to the F-15C and Su-27 within FC-3, just like the Su-25T and Su-25 already have the AFM.

YES! I was thinking about this only last night. I'd love to be able to see which missions I have or haven't completed at a glance.

The upcoming features that mean by far the most to me are the Hornet and new terrain. However, I suspect we'll need to be patient on both counts; Wags intimated that the F/A-18 is quite a long way off (i.e. no chance of getting it this year) and I'm getting a cautious vibe re. both Nevada and EDGE, too.

It's not yet known if FC3 Aircraft will get AFM for F-15 and Su-27(At least for free). What is known, is that they will be sold separately without the requirement of FC3 or LOCK ON.

I'm not exactly sure what they plan for these planes inside FC3 once they release the separate modules, maybe someone else could clarify for ya.

Here is a little snippet from the 7th May update regarding this.

"In addition to the never-ending quest for DCS perfection (yes, we have dreams too),we are working on releasing the F-15C Eagle and Su-27 Flanker for DCS World later this year.

Both of these aircraft will have the same detailed 3D models, cockpits and sounds of the Flaming Cliffs 3 versions, but we will be adding an Advanced Flight Model (AFM) for each.

We also want to release these aircraft in such a manner to allow users that are not interested in Flaming Cliffs 3, or do not have a Lock On installation, to still have these aircraft in their DCS World stable of aircraft, but at a greatly reduced price."

Mick. :)

read the updates again

F15C ans SU27 will have the same cockpits and the same FM like the FC3

with the only exception that they will add AFM

For those that they will not wish to buy the full installation of FC3 these aircrafts will be available as a separated module

the question is simple are they are going to put more suprises on these aircraft[like more detailed radar]

Matt already stated that they are planning to make them fully clickable at a later point;)
