Am I miss something or there was no info about this: http://dcs-wwii.dcs-mig21.com/ ?

Since laz's PC is down I'll try and answer for him;

It's his little sideproject on the side of the MiG-21 / MiG-23, as he frequently has nothing to do while the rest of us chip and chisel away.

Many of the meshes are old ones he has on his HDD; which just makes it a natural thing to do as well. :)

Wow! That's something I didn't expect to see. How did you find it?

Nice looking models nonetheless. Guaranteed Beczl quality and really welcome for the WW2 pilots here (not me... yet).

I guess things worked out well for him as not so long ago he was drowning in work!

That's a really nice collection of vehicles and weapons. It just occurred to me how interesting Combined Arms will be in WWII setting. :)

Griffin - it's in Beczl's new sig. I think it's a good idea, especialy for present Mustang and future Dora pilots.

In before massive hysteria about Beczl moving to WWII content.

Just in case and to reiterate so we don't have attacks by ignorant posters like last time, about the MiG-21 not being out/being developed;

I am pretty sure that you can write that in 20 feet high letters and some people here would still not get it.

But I had completely missed this, it looks really cool.

This is nice to see, would be great to have some WWII vehicles to put into missions for P-51/Dora.

To bottomless perdition, there to dwell; In adamantine chains and penal fire"

Most certainly welcoming this new WWII content in DCS(:Combined Arms?), but how (if at all) does this fit in with RRG Studios' WWII game?

I'd really like to see a combined effort, not two separate ones. As enhanced models in the RRG Studios' game, absolutely.

Edit: Looks like Beczl was already working on WWII models long before the ED/RRG Studios partnership announcement ...

And it's quite depressing to think that the feedback was sufficient to make Beczel feel the need to close the original thread :(

Ah, I missed the thread closing part. It's well-explained in this thread that Beczl is in a lull regarding the MiG-21Bis project now, waiting for other team members to finish their parts. He chose to add his side-project to his signature ... and why not? But I do hope that DCS: WWII is a combined effort of parties and not a stand-alone RRG Studios game and some separate mods for DCS: World.

Are you kidding me?!? Now it's getting ridiculous! He had to close it down?

I hope devs would stop listening to stuff like this. You guys know your financial state, your team workload and general plans. Don't let the shear stupidity of a few members make your plans for you.

This is going to bring in many players to this world. And in the end, that is going to help everyone. When are they going to realize that...

I started WWII era mods before DCS:MiG-21Bis or even P-51D announced. Most units modelled more than 2-3 years ago but i had no time to ported into DCSW or even create a webpage for it after my Lockon+FC site beczl.tvn.hu is closed.

Well I don't know how the partnership looks like betwen RRG and ED guys but I'm sure to move existing or create any new WWII related content to DCSW take times. I guess more than you expected and as you can see for example MiG-21 or other 3rd party case it takes a lot of times.

You know without content the DCSW is an empty shell without any 'fun" factor. :-) So meanwhile RRG publish WWII era I try to fill these gaps. But even my WWII mods are tested and working well I have no plan yet how can I published or distributed it...

I hope that one day your WWII vehicles + the Flying Legends series of aircraft + the RRG content can put a firm end to the opinion that some people have or had that the P-51D doesn't make sense in the DCS environment.
