phant Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Considering that F-15C and F-15E have pretty the same airframe, RAZBAM could be save o lot of time-develop adopting the incoming F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs AFM. What do you think about that? Bye Phant 1
cichlidfan Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I don't think ED works that way with 3rd parties. If they did do something like that, I am sure it would not be a freebie and I suspect Razbam would not be able to afford to pay the price. hypersonik Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 F15C AFM is ED's intellectual property so they would probable have to strike a deal. DCSW wishlist : multi-crew :D GTX480, i52400, 8GB, Samsung EVO 840 250G SSD, Raid 0 2TB =~45 FPS [Maxed] [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pyroflash Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) The two aircraft are more different than a lot of people think. Without the CFT's, they would be similar, but not the SAME. I don't think that the work done on one would greatly benefit the other. Maybe some of the systems work on the hydraulics, fuel, and electrical systems could be carried over, but a lot would still have to be changed. Maybe all of it considering that ED and RAZ might have extremely different coding styles. Edited August 28, 2013 by Pyroflash 1 If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
ED Team NineLine Posted August 28, 2013 ED Team Posted August 28, 2013 Seems to still be activity on it... Is the F-15E still in the works? 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Pyroflash Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 "Hey, the devs haven't posted anything in eight months! IT MUST BE DEAD!" More likely, they have their hands tied, so progress on this aircraft has probably come to a crawl. I don't think that it has stopped though, and more than likely, development on projects like the T-6-IIB, T-2, and M2000C will greatly benefit the F-15E. 1 If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

Lord_Pyro Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Is the F-15E still in the works? Never forget, that the developement is tied in a contract. So they cant just left their project abandoned after signed that contracact. In regular economy you would have to pay some fees for not fullfilling contracts, i guess ED has something similiar. Pyroflash Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 the terms of thier contract are not public, So there's no point in assuming anything about breach of contract fines and stuff. :joystick: Or even anything about what was actually signed into the contract. For all we know, 3rd party developers could have complete and total freedom to do whatever as long as they stay within certain guidelines. We wouldn't even know what those guidelines are, if they even exist. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

Basically F-15A/B To F-15E: More Powerful Engines (Effects Weight, Thrust as well as Thrust:Weight Ratio) Re-designed Rear Fuselage, bays and doors (Effects Weight and Distribution) Conformal Fuel Tanks (Effects Weight, Distribution and Drag) Upgraded Combat Systems (Effects Weight) Upgraded Avionics (Effects Weight) Upgraded Flight Control Systems (Effects FCS Response to Stick Movements.) joey45 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Isn't the fuselage a big different around the front section? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. SkateZilla Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 i wasnt sure about the forward fuselage... i know the rear fuselage is constructed differently and w/ different materials than that of the F-15A->C Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
