1.2.6.18651.276 DCS Update

Just hosted an online session, 2+ hours of trouble-free flying  Although it has to be said that there were only 2 participants altogether, i.e. me and a squad mate running some Mustang and Huey training missions. But ground units aplenty still, so it wasn't as if the map was barren or anything.

And oh yeah, seems more fluid somehow too, no stuttering at all that I noticed. Looks a winner to me

Thanks for the post, keep us updated...

you forgot the SAS switches too seem stable to me.

the only thing I noticed is the betty goes crazy when I spawn into the cockpit, and the AoA and landing indicators are jumping all over the place.

Betty going crazy on spawn with 0 speed was there since first 1.2.6.

PAC is not as good as in C but is quite good actually.

PAC was part of the -1 upgrade, not necessarily only in the Charlie PE upgrade. There shouldn't be a difference since the system is fundamentally the same. Unless they updated some of the rate control logic in the PAC autopilot.

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

Can anyone tell me the size of this update?

I'm having not the fastest i-Net, so size matters a lot for me.

I would appreciate if the download size can be mentioned in the Changelog.

Thanks.

Thanks for the post, keep us updated...

Yeah, we both updated the sim at the same time and I then hosted a bunch of missions both handmade and autogenerated with edits. Those all ran without hiccups, although we're only flying the Huey & the Stang at the moment so cannot comment on anything else just yet. Anyway, no problems whatsoever so far - knock on wood though...

My network speed is on ADSL 1024 and we both rebooted our computers after patching. And I dunno, nothing further to report at this point? Seems to run OK for me at any rate FWIW :)

I mean in-game but thanks for more info about Hog :smilewink:

Edit. I'm back to Windows 8, this time I want to stay for longer than three months. I'm going to test A-10A update. Some MP testing too.

Another thing to keep in mind...when ED build these updates, they don't have shoulder mods running, tinted glass mods, this skin, that skin, this mod, that mod etc etc.

Nearly every update I've installed has worked fine, but then I rarely allow mods on my system.

Just sayin :D

More than one installation is the answer.

Edit. No switches are on for me except EAC Master Arm and SAS (4 buttons on left console).

They still have not fixed explosions. Cluster bombs, the combat environment does not need to run slow like that for any reason. I am starting to think ED does not know how to fix this issue. It's just a bug that has been in DCS World 100% of the time since it was released. So if we can get to EDGE I am hoping that this new engine will fix that issue because it sucks and it's stupid.
