Very nice. Such a unique sound. I don't remember the Harrier being so loud, but I guess I really only saw them landing.

Can't wait to see it all pieced together. It's going to be such a great jet.

Always my favorite at the airshows and believe me they are the loudest damn things in the air! REALLY loud planes..

No kidding? That's crazy. Never seen one at an show. It's on my aviation bucket list though.

In that case, the sound is perfect, ;-)

Thanks Diveplane :-))

This is one Aircraft I would give "body parts" to be able to fly in DCS.

P.S. I didn't say who's!

Thanks Diveplane. Good work. But I think there still work to do.

I love the sound but I personnaly hear some 'loop' or 'waves' in the sound, I don't know how to explain it. Like if the sound was not 'smoothened'. Exemple: the engine throttle is at a constant level and there is still a variation in the perceived sound, like a 'wave', with the volume of a certain part of the sound increasing and decreasing continuously at a smooth rate.

OK, it's hard to describe with words, although with limited vocabulary like mine...

they are close as possible to the Pegasus engine, very early wip as mentioned before.

most sounds ingame are looped , cant have long playback sounds for a model, will cause slow downs even with seperate cpu.

and no the engine throttle was not at a constant level, idle to take off.

note still to add hover thrust audios later date

much more tweaking, its coming along nicely.

A short video of sound work I did for the BMS AV8. I am eager to get your AV8 in DCS. Keep up the great work :)

Sounds real good!

Will this be a full study sim or FC3?

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

diveplane, this sounds very close to the real thing, unfortunately it's a 406 and the current engine is known as a 408B (more thrust, more whine). This is one subject on this forum that I feel I'm qualified to discuss. PM me if you need/want any details.

--forgot to mention that the 406 was phased out sometime around 2002ish. It sounded excellent though and pretty accurate to what the real one sounded like. Very impressed and the cockpit view was pretty spot on! Excited to see the real deal.

Depends what airframe and year it's from...
