Pman Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Yes, depending on how skilled you are with code and 3d modelling it's not too hard Guided munitions aren't too bad but I haven't done it as I don't have any interest in it 1
Stratos Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) Yes, depending on how skilled you are with code and 3d modelling it's not too hard Guided munitions aren't too bad but I haven't done it as I don't have any interest in it At least there's hope. I have no idea of those modelling skills. Wish someone take the payware route so we can have new planes. As I said before I will pay for new planes, even with SFM. Good rep to you for clear answers! Edited January 7, 2014 by Stratos I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
Pman Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Alot of the 3rd parties are going down the payware route. However most of these aspire to study sim detail level. This is alot harder and more involved then a simple SFM model. Even if you borrow code from the A10A or something. But to use SFM and get it flying isnt too bad. Also to release a payware model involves contracts and licensing things etc which for some part time hobbyists who wont make any real money out of it just isnt worth it Plus thats before you go down the protection route needed to stop only one person downloading it and giving it to everyone... SkateZilla Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 OK, I'll bite and post some What Ifs, But I'll only Post F-100 Images in my F-100D WIP Update Thread. First and Foremost: *Not* Affiliated with CTD's F-18E, The Airframe is being used to test future Projects (Again Not Affiliated with CTD) (Random F-18E Shots from November) (Testing NAVAL/EFM stuff, not affiliated with CTD's F-18) None of the Things being Tested are visible in the screenshots. I'm Aware the InfoBar says EA-18G, Forgot to Update the Display Name in the Configuration Files after I swapped the 3D meshes from F-18G to F-18E in the Scene, Will prolly go back to Using -F Meshes though. NRG-Vampire Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 i thought they had a stop watch in their pit? iirc they had that stop watch in their previous .lom ba-hornet cockpit Vampire, is that my Tiffy in DCS? yes, i think Chris and i guess Taker was the guy who converted your nice model to edm format and Luke Skywalker's machine as well :D
Blaze Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 i thought they had a stop watch in their pit? There is their demo jet with smoke pump switches, stopwatch etc and there's a combat-esque version without those additions. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. Cobra847 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) lol, that makes 4 people who think its their model... Amazing how when something new rocks up people always lay claim to it... For a Start its a 1C pman; I know my own work when I see it. That mesh was originally built by Kevin Miller (Gibbage), extra meshwork and textured by myself and then LICENSED to A2A and released as an "Aircraft Factory" aircraft. Thats' why you may be confused. Thinking it's an A2A mesh, whereas it's just a licensed MilViz one. I would post some screenshots to prove it, but the F4U has undergone a complete artwork overhaul as part of a future endeavour-- so at this point I would have to dig up the old PSDs you're using. To clarify; I don't mind. It's interesting however. :) Edited January 10, 2014 by Cobra847 Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/

aaron886 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) Is this Coretex cockpit? Or is it a private mod? Private, and it will have to stay that way, sorry. (Although that's not necessarily how I would want it!) This is unrelated to ED's Hornet and certainly unrelated to CTD's project. i thought they had a stop watch in their pit? We do, among other things. I can turn it on and off. Like this: Edited January 11, 2014 by aaron886

VH-Rock Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 (edited) GWBHF Spitfire Mk IX A little update - here is our Spitfire Mk IX! We bought a model from Turbosquid, which I then set about upgrading and adding some more detail too. I've spent around 22 hours over the last 2 days retexturing the model from from scratch... (I used to a LOT of skinning for IL-2, so texturing for DCS is a nice change on some higher res textures :) ) For now, she will use the Mustang FM and cockpit.
