The 62nd VFS is a squadron geared for those who would like be part of a squadron, but due to real life obligations, limited amounts of time to fly, busy work schedules, and family life, may not be able to join a squadron with a more specific focus or training requirements. We welcome DCS pilots of all skill levels on any aircraft, no matter how often you are able to fly. There's no commitment to join, nor any mandatory training, events, or operations in order to become a member of the 62nd. The DCS VMFA-323 Squadron is a small squadron of dedicated F/A-18C Hornet pilots. We primarily focus in training beginners to DCS as well as refining our skills every day. Training includes: ground school, carrier qualification, formation flying, air-to-ground weapons employment, and air-to-air engagements.

We are a group of milsim enthusiasts using Digital Combat Simulator to recreate real life military operations as realistically as possible (while keeping our group atmosphere laid back, after all, its a hobby). We currently have openings in the following squadrons (except where noted, “training times” are 2000 PST Tuesdays and Thursdays) CVW-9, currently embarked on CVN-72 Abraham Lincoln: VAW-117 “Wallbangers” This is our AWACS/ATC/GCI group. “Analog” Mumau, “Viking” Blindheim and “Valkyrie” Hawley have extensive knowledge and can bring you up to speed on our Controller Ops. They use LoATC and are not airframe specific VF-111 “Sundowners” “Zorro” LeGrand and his group fly the F-14B (A model in training). Fleet Defense and Close Air Support/Strike are their main missions. VF-111 currently has a few slots open for Pilot and RIO VFA-34 “Blue Blasters” “Digital” Mumau and his group fly the F/A-18C. With the Hornet being the Swiss Army Knife of the USN, their squadron covers a variety of roles. The real life VFA-34 was the last active Navy Hornet squadron to fly the “legacy” Hornet (A/B/C/D) before the fleet completely converted to the F/A-18E/F/G Super Hornet. VFA-34 is currently open for recruiting 52nd Fighter Wing - Currently deployed to Nellis AFB for work ups: 23rd Fighter Squadron, the “Fighting Hawks” “Piddles” Miller and his group currently fly the F-16C/D Viper and (when released) F-4E Phantom II in a dedicated SEAD/DEAD (Suppression/Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses) The real life 23rd FS flew SEAD/DEAD missions out of Incirlik Air Base, Turkey during Operation Desert Storm, using the F-4G and F-16C in Hunter/Killer pairs to take down Iraqi Air Defenses F-16 recruitment is currently open for Pilots Training times are 2000 EST, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4477th TES “Red Eagles” “Topov” and his group mainly fly the F-5 Tiger II and a variety of Russian made aircraft (MiG-21,-29, Su-27, and -33) to provide realistic Red Adversarial training for the group and opposing forces during our deployment campaigns. The real 4477th tested and evaluated “borrowed” Russian aircraft under the Constant Peg program that ran from the Late ‘60s to the ‘80 Recruitment is Open 129th Rescue Squadron/D-Troop “Squidly” Walker and his 129th fly the U/MH-60 Blackhawk in a variety of missions, including Combat Search and Rescue. Recruiting is open, and the mod required is free, this is a great way to get started in Helos in DCS “Whiskey” French and D-Troop operate the AH-64D “Apache” in a Close Air Support (CAS) role, supporting friendly ground forces. Our current membership include members from these countries: USA, Canada, Germany, Spain, Israel, UK, Australia, Brazil, France, Netherlands, and many others. We currently fly these aircraft: F-14A/B, F-16 Blk50, F-18 Blk 20, A-10C, A-10CII, JF-17, UH-1H We are Joint Task Force 13, an international group that came together in late July of 2019. JTF-13 is not a mil-sim group, but more of a productive but casual environment. We do not have mandatory flights, or expect everyone to join our campaigns, but we do hope for active participation and ask that our pilots and RIOs show interest in flying with a group. We have many members with various skill sets who support JTF-13 through leadership experience and teaching skills. Many of our pilots offer real life experience including civilian, private, and military aviation. Because of this, our instructor pilots provide full training as needed on the aircraft. All you have to do is ask! If you are new to flight sims or DCS, you will feel right at home here with our experienced members, as well as our newer members. Founded January 2022, the 101VFS is based off the 101FS out of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Since November 2023, we've transitioned to a carrier based squadron as well as becoming a Milsim group. We fly every Sunday and Monday, at 7pm EST. However we're always looking to branch out. We fly mostly on Grayflag and Through the Inferno, but are looking for our own server to call home. If you are knowledgeable in the mission editor or have any missions for us to fly on, please say so! Our objective is to be able to use the weapons available for us to capture bases in a dynamic 24/7 campaign. We are looking for dedicated and experienced Naval pilots who want to work as a squadron and use strategy, logistics and teamwork effectively to overwhelm and defeat the enemy. Our expectations are that you are an active member. You are willing to learn, especially from your mistakes, and are well mannered. If this is something that sounds good to you, then we will be happy to have you! Also, do not be afraid to ask if anyone is around to fly. We're always up to fly!

Jeden Montag und Donnerstag fliegen wir ab 19:30 Uhr bis 22:00 Uhr gemeinsame Trainings mit Theorie und Praxisanteil. Wir sammeln gemeinsam Wissen rund um die Marinefliegerei. Neben Trainings fliegen wir regelmäßig PvE Missionen und wollen in Zukunft auch mehr PvP fliegen. Wir legen Wert auf echte Prozeduren. Briefings vor und nach dem Flug mithilfe von eigenen Unterlagen und TACVIEW gehören für uns dazu. Genauso wie Kommunikation über SIMPLE RADIO (SRS), bei der wir reale Verfahren anwenden. Die Freude an DCS kommt bei uns auch aus der tieferen Beschäftigung mit dem Thema Marinefliegerei und nicht nur aus dem Cockpit. Wo wir können, nutzen wir offen zugängliche Vorschriften und Verfahren aus allen Quellen, um uns weiterzuentwickeln. Wenn nötig adaptieren wir diese dann für die Simulation.
