  1. Past hour
  2. По движущимся целям его радар непревзойденно (возможно, не реалистично) крут, какой уж там ниочёмный…
  3. looks like no updates for a few years.
  4. It feels like groundhog day again…. No, absolutely frickin’ no! I’m sick and tired of subscription models creeping in on every aspect of life - and I think I’m not alone with that. So my heartfelt THANK YOU to ED, who fortunately rejected the idea every time it comes up!
  5. If you're using VAICOM it will definitely trigger the "Salute" "in the radio menu". (VAICOM doesn't really use the radio menu, but it uses the features of the radio menu). Just add an additional pure VoiceAttack command like "Mission Salute", that sends the "S" keypress. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  6. when you buy a computer assembled by someone else, normally it gets an OEM license installed on it. or if you built it yourself, you install an OEM license on it. that is a valid license for that computer only for its life. any OS upgrades are free. we are almost done at the office upgrading 700 laptops from 10 to 11. it is pretty painless. and di not pay a penny.
  7. Here is a mission in the Germany map using trigger zones on light targets. This is a way to turn off ground AI god mode until you are closer to the targets. One problem is, once the AI turns on, it does not turn off once leaving the trigger zone. I tried every conceivable way of solving that problem (triggers, etc.) but could not get it to work. I think its a bug in the AI. So once you get within the unit's trigger zone, you had better kill them before they get you. Let me know if you guys think this has any value. You can easily drag the enemy units along with their trigger zones to change their positions. Start off in Leipzig. Leipzig light combat OH6 .miz
  8. The potential of having a subscription model as an addition to purchasing modules is not a bad idea, if that's what OP is asking for. Then one could choose. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  9. Map
  10. Are you talking about the F10 map settings or the F10 radio menu. It's not that clear to me. Because the heading is "The F10 Menu", while you seem to describe the F10 map settings. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  11. Are these compatible with the VKB Gunfighter MkIII stick?
  12. The kneeboard is extremely useful, especially in VR. However, having a bright white (day) kneeboard during a night mission can be quite distracting and uncomfortable. For the mission-specific kneeboard, no problem: when I create a night mission, I just create a version with red text on a black background and insert that into the mission file. For the general kneeboard at %userprofile%\Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\FA-18C_hornet, it's not quite so simple Please would you consider implementing a system where the user could place day and night versions of their kneeboards in that folder, the night versions could be named in a specific way, or placed in a subfolder for that purpose. DCS would then be able to distiguish between them and automatically load the appropriate kneeboard dependent on mission time. Thank you for listening.
  13. I've been following this for a long time, flying mostly Bf-109 and FW-190. These missions are generally dogfights with a substantial amount of turning. Each time I looked at the track, I found it went "off-track" after a few turns. On the other hand I flew a mission with the Hornet yesterday, and the track was absolutely fine. Seeing all these posts today, I decided to produce a track. I flew a mission with the Bf-109 vs a Mosquito. I killed the Mosquito and saved the track. When I viewed the track, I found myself shooting into the blue sky turning around aimlessly and in the end was shot up by the Mosquito. I then replayed the same track again, and the action turned out very similarly, but somewhat different. And if you replay the track you will probably see something different again. The duration of the replay is always exactly the same as that of the original mission, so the tracks are truncated at different points in the action. I attach the track, plus Tacview recordings of the original mission and of the two replays. Tacview shows clearly the differences in the course of action, between actual mission and replays. 14. @Synth Does the F-16 have any A-A and A-G button light up respectively? I don‘t think it does. So I think those buttons on the throttle base will only work appropriately with the Hornet.
  15. Today
  16. This sounds suspiciously like a mission that I made, so I'll try a stab at it. If you choose communications->Other->Formation/Intercept & Escort, you get a menu that allows you multiple choices, for example "Team: OH58D". While you can choose any option, you must be at 300 AGL for the choice to have any effect, else you get a notice and your choice is ignored. So, I recommend that you take off, get above 500 AGL and then try again. A Kiowa should appear in front of you, flying your current heading, to allow you practicing formation flight with it.
  17. I would like to request the external draw argument values of TPODS be added to the lua scripting engine. Scenario: Mission designer wants to know the coordinate where the sensor is looking. It is possible to do this if the targeting sensor has external draw argument values. (For example the TADS on the Apache has draw argument values) However for Fixed wing aircraft, the Targeting sensor is often a Store and does not provide draw argument values. (ie. Lightening or Sniper pod) The exception to this is the F-14. Heatblur provided the Draw argument values for the LANTIRN POD. I would like to request this be done for all the targeting pods on all aircraft. Here is a short video of the draw argument values being used with the lua scripting engine.
  18. I thought it could not. Can't remember where i read, but was mentioned that mig-21bis can't guide Grom missile. Can exact version of mig-21 that is in DCS guide it ? Thanks. Correction to my statement. What I learned so far is that fixed beam of RP-22 (Bis variant radar we have in DCS) is not compatible with Grom missile. While RP-21 could, theoretically, guide it. In DCS it was added due to gaming ! I also could not find Grom missile being used in Yugoslavian MiG-21Bis. VTUP from year 1980. Anything is possible with experimental and tested modifications, but serial product of bis that we have could not use it.
  19. JDAM has a CEP of 5m, so 50% chance of falling within 5m and 50% chance of dropping further away. So the question is, how far were the ls-6 falling from the target, and which bombs op was using cause they talk about blast radius.
  20. Yep. To tell the truth I have tried to create a campaign for this simulator twice. The first has been planed on Caucasus map, the second one on Syria map. But both times I stopped after creating 4 missions because of the updates which were ruining everything. I worked hard to test each mission and make it work to the end at least in 90% of occurrences. It took me around a month. I was fighting the dumb AI to get over all the bugs of the core game and make it do the job. Because it is not working when you just tell the AI do "X", it wil do "A, C, G, Y" but not "X". But then the update comes and bring a lot of changes to the core game and all of the triggers stop working as they were and the AI behaviour changes and a lot of new bugs appearing and all of the work I have done I were need to rebuild and retest to make it work again. So I just stopped doing it. To understand it better. I was trying to create campaign were there will be allied AI ground and air units which will help you to achive the victory. But because each update were ruining my missions, I had to make a lot of fixes to make them working again. Because the AI may stop dropping bombs on the target for example and start dropping them to early so they will impact the ground to far of the target and do no damage at all. So I have started to create a triggers which were exploding the targets when the bomb is entering the trigger zone. I just made a timer which will wait a minute so the bomb will impact the ground and then all the targets will explode themselves. In a short, a lot of work should be done and it can be ruined by the next update. So I started to create a simple missions for myself and even not touching them anymore. Because in a couple of the next updates they may even start working as intended again.
  21. Nope, I was wrong to trust sites over manuals. Sorry. It is how you said. Only thing not mentioned is not just pilot manually returnig jfs start switch to off will stop jfs and deplete reservoirs. Misfire probability is still a thing which ground crew needs to be prepared for. Now only things that remains not simulated fully is START 1. START 1 could be simulated in a way to have probability to "misfire" which also results in one depleted bottle. Second start 1 attempt with last remaining bottle and if fails again, you're done. Ground crew JFS refill is needed then. Misfire usually has higher probability in hot temperature, higher MSL altitudes, JFS bottles condition (pressure). START 2 already has high start probability in RL and should remain as is. Thank you. Best regards.
  22. Haven't found a report about the following, at least not with the search criteria I used. See also tracks attached. Have an AH-64 armed with Hellfires at least on the right inboard station. Be on the ground, open cockpit door and hit CTRL + E three times to ground egress the helicopter and look from the outside. Do this both for pilot and CPG. Pilot comes to a stop after the egress animation with the missiles through his body: The CPG is floating in a 45° angle in the air... 23. Found working livery links for sir galahad and the rest of the round table class logistics ships. Including HMAS Tobruk thank you very much @crazyeddie!
  24. This is incorrect. The block and tape of F-16 that is modeled in DCS indeed doesn't support SADL, but it supports full 9-line text messages and CAS IP/TGT steerpoints to be received via IDM.
