  2. A track file would help. The generators and fuel pump switches are generally left in the on position and that is where they are when the pilot gets in the jet. They updated the game to reflect real world procedures based on subject matter expert input (except when you get that crew-chief that insists on everything being "Off, safe, normal"). As for your startup issue... battery on, inverter on, test your lamps, start the APU. if you are doing all those things and its not working I'd start turning off add ons and make sure you load a default mission to make sure its not something up with the mission you're trying to run.
  3. After take off, the wheels won't come up beyond the position shown. Not overspeeding. Every time the same. The tube in the cockpit shows full retraction.
  4. Modern HOTAS ads on a carefully crafted 1980s map intended for immersion... or a WWII one. ....or in a serious campaign during reconstruction of real life events in a war which often are tragic. Tone cannot be further away than a racing sim, which is about a sport which is hand in hand with capitalist values, which is fine. I think it is in bad taste to put ads on DCS maps in quantity to generate resources. The current ads everywhere culture kind of sucks too. There are much more efficient ways to generate resources without kneeling to the advertising world: making a good job on a module, collaborations outside the sims with related brands (already being done), Content Creators (already being done). Sorry for being too negative. Fair skies and happy flying.
  5. I dug this out. Bought a Logitech Brio, it does not work with AITrack, only when I start LogiCapture which causes lack. As soon as I hit "Start Tracking", after 3-5 seconds the App just closes.

  8. When Matt said that, was he saying that ALL MiG-29 9.12s had unsynchronised RWR/Radar functions? Or was he refering the exact particular MiG-29 9.12 ED used as reference, meaning the one that had synchronisation issues. If its the latter, that would suggest we are getting a broken MiG-29 with unserviced RWR/Radar synchronisation. From what I've read and seen others site, the MiG-29 9.12 did have RWR/Radar synchronisation which leads me to believe ED based their model off an unserviced, broken MiG-29 that wasn't fully capable/operational. In that case, why not model a factory new MiG-29 in the way the soviets originally designed it to be. From a realism point of view, modelling an unserviced and broken jet seems inconsistent, especially when "fictional for convinience" features include things like unhistorical english HUD/HDd etc. Having a realistic RWR/Radar operation function modelled as "fictional" would be nice if you ask me. And for those who want the hardcore experience add an option for it in the special tab.
  9. I checked and I have no idea what you're talking about. Can you be more specific, please?

Und mal wieder Zeit für ein Treiber-Update bei Nvidia, wenn man das von Hand macht: https://www.heise.de/news/Schadcode-Luecken-in-Nvidia-GPU-Treiber-geschlossen-10749431.html
  11. Evening all. After several years away from the A10C,I have decided to try and get back into it again -and almost immediately I have run into issues with the start up procedure. The first thing I notice is that I can no longer undertake the "test" check of either Oxy or Fuel (no alarm or quantity needle swing). Also, AC GEN PWR is aways in the ON position(previously these had to be selected). Finally, when going to APU START the needle will go no further than 60% before winding down. I have tried both internal and external power ups, but the result is the same. Am I missing a step in the start procedure or do I have gremlin in the system? If you can assist, please bear in mind that I am not terribly PC/Sim au fait. Thanks in anticipation.
  12. I doubt there is a lot of money to made in this. Contrary to a racetrack, there is not much of a way to force people to pass by these billboards much. Be that as it may, I would the M230 punches properly positioned holes through the Meta billboard...
  13. And today I learned something new. Thanks for the explanation
  14. Yup, this one confuses lots of people initially. Trimming nose up will move the trim tab on the elevator down, not up. Same principle with the other control surfaces.
  15. The golf course in the spa town of Bad Kissingen ain't not a lake. It's also not a timing problem, because the golf course exists since 1911. Maybe it was once flooded when areal pictures for the map where taken because it's along the saale river, but it's not a lake for sure.null

    Visore VR

Ciao grifo!!
  18. What do you think is the effect that the trim tabs have on the control surfaces? Why do you think they are placed on outer most edge of the control surfaces? Better do some more research on the physics of aviation. To put in no uncertain terms: The trim tabs are moved into the airstream to exert a displacement force on the actual control surfaces, which consequently will have a new equilibrium position in the airflow (and with that move the stick which has a fixed connection to the surfaces). Trim tab goes up, control surface goes down, stick goes forward. (for pitch trim)
  19. Its the Cyrillic abbreviation for South. I-O
  20. The NS430 on the Ka-50 is a bit of special request, given that the Ka-50 already has a GPS. Still, given the fact that down the line, the NS430 will (hopefully) support a wider range of communications frequencies (on the NS430), it would be golden to have it the cockpit. In addition, while it uses Russian GLONASS to cover the earth, it wouldn't be bad either, to have specific international nomenclature for airfields and aviation routes. It would be great! Following pictures showing space, and potential placement of the unit:

  21. Adding more pictures of specifically the Mi-24P. Mine is not perfectly aligned, where the one implemented by ED can be tilted 45* and still be realistically used. The point is, there is plenty of space. ED, you can make the NS430 popular this way. I know for sure, that I have had it since release, but not used it, until frankly the first 3D models popped up. 2D simply never was a choice for me, esp. after the transition to VR upon its inception.
  22. Hi, I asked this question basically when NS430 released back in the day, the question of implementing the 3D version of the NS430 into the cockpit (selectable through mission editor). The answer back then, was that there simply was no space in the cockpit, as the NS430 would stick outside the cockpit glass. Well, I've just looked at the model viewer, and with some very basic skills (literally after 1hr of using it), came with this: Now, granted, I haven't yet figured out object rotation and collision (attaching to surfaces), but I'm sure that it's child's play for a dedicated artist/coder. As can be seen, even with basic x-/y-/z- placement of the object within the cockpit, I have more than enough space to any obstructions, canopy glass included. There is still buffer in the sense that the NS430 can be placed more streamlined with the upper dashboard (parallel to each other), as well as the ability to even pull it out (towards the pilot) further. For anyone who has seen other types of MiG-21s, there can be plenty of items sticking out towards the pilot, such as e.g. the radar screen hood, and more, without obstructing the view. I would really appreciate it if you guys gave this another look, and at least until we get a new MiG in many years, have the NS430 integrated with the current one. It makes much sense with modern operations. Thanks for consideration!
  23. Technically on a Warbird , the trim moves the trim tabs on the control surfaces, not the control surface itself so when trimming, the tabs move not the control surfaces, thus the stick should not move.
  24. Could this be done with a co-pilot?
