Hi all, im having trouble with helios. I have watched many you tube videos but none give me the answer. Im flying the A10C II and i have two tablets connected via USB. I can set any instrument, bind the right out and input and it works. I can even show the MFD buttons and program these and they work ingame. But i cannot get any MFD viewport to show on the tablets. Resolutions and display positions are set. I have renamed the MFD's to the monitorsetup.lua...nothing.

Keep in mind, this is just for quick fun to enjoy the MiG-29 and the MiG-21 is a nice opponent. Also, I had something in the back of my head a former GDR Air Force officer told me, when we asked him, if Warsaw Pact aircraft navigated freely like NATO ones (like Belgian Mirages doing low level in Germany). He said, had they done that, the Poles and Czech would have shot them down (unless there was a huge heap of paperwork in advance). Wether that was true or not, I don't know. Just see it as DACT

the x3d only causes problems if you are not using the correct CCD for games, usually this is solved by installing the recommended software ;in this case making sure gamebar is installed... or you can use can use process lasso to manually make sure that DCS is using the right CCD.. e.g. the ones with the 3dvcache -
So guys, I think the problem is solved. Whoever in all the MiG 29 Liveries the hook in the “Payload Restriction” menue for the external Tank was unchecked. Checked it on, so that the green hook says its fine - unchecked Payload Restrictions and voila - i can use the external Droptank. Thank you all for response and your help. Hi I've just ordered a 9950X Ryzen 9 for DCS I've seen mixed reports about X3D causing problems. I Currently have a Ryzen 7 5000 series so either will be a big boost. but that's not the issue. It's which of these will be the best as the price difference isn't enough to stop either. Info welcome thanks!

I agree, it would be a nice addition, even if it doesn't have the same usebility as on a western jets, its enaugh for having minimal Like, we already have a civilian navigation system fitted on it, so it wouldn't be out of palce to have a NVE. Plus, would be just fun flying around in a MiG-29 durring zero light condition and being able to see outside, even if the instruments won't be readable with the NVG active. Implementation could also be simple as in the ground crew menu, just like for other aircraft that has can use NVEs

One workaround I use (which I shouldn't have to) is to either... a) Carry a mix of Kilos and Limas, putting George in SAL mode so that he constantly lases when given a target, which gives the range constantly, or... b) Don't WAS the Hellfires until you want George to look at a target, then WAS the Hellfires when you're getting ready to engage. This is a chronic problem that's been identified for well over a year and I've encountered escalating standards of evidence along the way, with no resolution in sight. -

I'd like to add some, but I need to find good quality models to build upon. Unfortunately it's much harder finding suitable Cold War NATO models. But I'm always searching and collecting. Which NATO assets would you suggest are the most wanted ones? -
Nukes in DCS are a bit NO-NO for ED: they have said that ad infinitum already. I'd personally prefer not to have them either.

Good eye! I was too quick judging it by the egg shaped turret. It's most likely a T-54-3 which was the first version that looked more like the later models. The barrel also points to this. -

Don't expect much help with this. George AI has been reported repeatedly as inconsistent, at best, multiple times. In any case, if you don't include a track file of what you're talking about happening and including the time mark when it happens (yes, really) you have zero chance of getting a useful response. This has been my experience, and there is still no resolution. At this time, if I feel like flying the Apache solo, I seriously have to weigh whether the inevitable frustration of George not working correctly is worth the effort.

Hi. Due to accessibility reasons I am unable to use a head tracker and instead rely on the mouse to freelook within the cockpit and then use middle mouse to switch between clickable cockpit and freelook modes. It seems the keybind for the clickable cockpit (alt C) has the mouse bindings disabled for this module, and indeed any magnitude 3 modules. Why is this? Its a big QOL feature for me to be able to take my hand off the joystick, click the middle mouse and enable click or freelook modes... Ive looked on the M3 bug tracker to report this at https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.io/my_view_page.php?refresh=true but there doesnt seem to be a project for the COrsair to report bugs for? Are you able to feed this back to their dev team to ask them if they can enable this bind in a future build? Thanks.

Well you can sit down and wait since Polychop has no dev team anymore, we're waiting for any kind of news. If they hire a new team, they need to get familiar with the code and then start working on whatever it is that they have to work on so we are talking x amount of years here.

StopGaps - Script to fill empty player slots with planes

I've used StopGaps for some time with great success. I have a mission flying the Su-25T and I have decided to enable StopGaps. I now find that the radio only works in the plane if I set the plane to 'Take off from ramp'. If I change it to 'Take off from Ground', to take advantage of StopGaps, the radio does not work. Has this always been the case and I only just noticed it, or has something changed since the latest update of DCS?
