  2. A collection of links like ThizThizzyDizzy made would be enough. Or, if you're even lazier, just link his blog page: https://www.thizthizzydizzy.com/blog/pimax_play_version_archive.html
  3. Given the obvious detail to the cargo bay, cargo physics etc, how comparable is the performance (particularly in VR) to other modules? What feedback can you share that has been received from the early testers?
  4. Gotta be fully swung out, as the TE hi lift devices are out. Ze german shelters were used at 45° sweep IIRC.
  5. Since in VR it is hard to make kneeboard notes for yourself, like writing down coordinates, or ninelines it would be great if campaign creators had the ability to ad kneeboard pages within a mission, or manipulate the content of a kneeboard page in flight. So they could simulate the player noting coordinates or something like that. This would solve issues with the duration of the displayed subtitles of radio calls and prevent the player from breaking immersion by looking it up in the message history of the menue.
  6. Yeah - main thing for me is they seem to have gone with a semi-circular cross section inside - I suspect they've reused the modified gen 1 HAS model that was already there and then modelled the RAFG shelter's externals over the top of it. Here's a pretty good look inside one of these shelters - showing a Tornado with the wings out (though not sure if it's at 25°): They were used to house the Phantom. This is at RAF Wildenrath - which from the mid-to-late 70s up until it closed was a Phantom base and it only has this kind of shelter - the rest of the parking is either open tarmac or revetted. Also bear in mind that at 25° sweep, the Tornado has a slightly longer wingspan than the Tornado.
  7. Hello, I am encountering a fundamental technical issue with my DCS installation. Whether I use the standard community library MOOSE (SPAWN:New) or the native game functions, I am unable to spawn and/or give orders to scripted units. Here is a summary of our troubleshooting steps: The native function coalition.addGroup is working (I was able to successfully spawn a Su-25T). The MOOSE functions SPAWN:New and STATIC:New fail to spawn anything. Basic MOOSE functions (MESSAGE:New) and native DCS functions (trigger.action.smoke) are working perfectly. The native function Controller.setTask systematically fails with an "Unknown task" error for all standard, documented tasks (PatrolRoute, CAP, Follow, Takeoff, etc.). I have already performed a full repair and a clean reinstall of the game, but the issue persists. I have also tried disabling overlays and running the game as an administrator. I suspect there is a deep issue with the scripting API on my system. I am attaching my dcs.log file and a simple test mission (.miz) that reproduces the "Unknown task" error when using setTask. Thank you for your help. Mariannes WWII.miz dcs.log
  8. hello. during one of your recent DCS updates, did you install the C++ 14.44.35211? i am unsure what effect this has on the launcher.
  9. We need an official repository with earlier versions, not a link to big Reddit thread where the actual DL link is buried somewhere. Even a simple google drive would suffice for now
  10. Depending on what you wanna see (details), don't even think about 8GB VRAM. Also, will you plug it into PCIe v3, 4 or 5? If you have an older PCIe 3.0, 5060 would be further throttled when loading textures and stuff from RAM to VRAM as it uses only 8 lanes. But having enough VRAM is better. That does not mean that 3060 12GB is a better option here, it really is slower in the end because of raw performance, not to mention support for newer DLSS, etc. I upgraded from 3060 to 5060 Ti 16GB and it was nearly double the performance. (And yes, I have regularly allocated more than 8GB of VRAM, depending on the mission.) So 3060 vs 5060 8GB... I'd choose none, really. Perhaps if you'd massively lower your texture quality - but what's he point then? As for the memory consumption, just check my video comparing map in otherwise empty mission (timestamp goes right to the VRAM usage): Hope that helps you making the right decision.
  11. The strange part is that in Control Panel it shows a perfect linear ribbon. The jump also occurs in all other flight sims. All my jets are set to non slider, so the jump to 50 input equalls 0 output, further resulting in 100 input and 100 output and therefore no problem is encountered. The slider will produce a 50 output at 0 input. That sudden jump will put a tail dragger on its nose in DCS, so the large deadzone is required, or just use non slider and reduce the total output. British aircraft are unaffected as I use the slider on the throttle, which works normally. ..
  12. neither, wait for the NVIDIA refresh (5070 super) or like mentioned above the 9060XT. VRAM is life.
  13. But if I usually do 60 mpg, but now only 10 on the same volume of petrol, and there's nothing wrong on my side of that excessive rise in fuelconsumption, I'll be asking Shell questions

  15. Тоже приобрёл. Но немного жаль, что это не H-модификация, а J. C-130H вписался бы в более широкий диапазон времени (ранние версии вообще с первой половины 1970-х).
  16. Ah didn't see that, still those models have been shown for about 1-2 years now, it's amazing that it's taking such a long time to add them to the game, yet they show them in trailers. Maybe their AI logic is still too simple to use, mind you how much more simple could they be compared to what we have now for ground AI. Anyway once the C130 is out I'll wait to see how good the logistics are before I buy, because it's very lacking in the other ED modules like the Mi 8, Huey and the newer CH47. 17. I never got the fascination with this version. If you have seen the video and stills aftermath of the attack on Qassim Soleimani's vehicle, it is lying in multiple pieces and on fire. This is NOT a 'low collaterals' kill in so far as exploding vehicles make a major mess. Nor could you send such a missile into an enclosed volume like a room in a house and expect to only kill the target themselves. If the motor is still burning it's going to shatter and deflagrate on impact with large incendiary effects. It's a five foot long missile and so the impact energy is likely going to rupture the casing into a lot of splinters and fragments as well. At Mach 1.21 to 1.4, these will go through walls and floors with ease.

  19. I kinda built this sorta thing for my own use - a simple little server app that pulls the map tiles and navaids from DCS, and is designed for manual, warbird, helo, F-4 style nav. I use it within openkneeboard with a wacom tablet. You can double tap to select a point and use it as a waypoint, threat mark or a nav fix, or can use the new alt-click in the F10 map and then copy to clipboard to get coords easily from DCS. If anyone is interested I've been meaning to polish it up for an opensource release.null
  20. Perhaps, instead of buying a game for 50 USD, you should consider investing a substantial amount of money and just buy a share of ED. This would give you access to a clearer insight. But for 50usd? Heh… when i’m buying a full tank of petrol every month I’m not getting access to financial documents of shell.
  21. Last one I got was from Amazon, not seen them on there for some time. There seems to be some on Ebay...
  22. You have a choice of fuses up to 11 seconds, set in the Mission Editor/Payload screen. Click on the orange triangle next to the bomb to get a choice of nose or tail options. ..
  23. it can lock some 35nm target if you switch the range to 40NM at your FCR page
  24. Starting DCS without the launcher appears to resolve the issue. Exactly the same issue on DCS 2.9.18.12899, logs are from 2.9.18.12722 Method: Ensure UI launcher is enabled in settings Launch DCS, UI starts Select start DCS UI closes, DCS does not start, crash Workaround: Disable UI launcher in DCS settings Re-boot Windows - You need to do this if on the last attempted DCS start it crashed Launch DCS, DCS launches normally This is 100% reproducible for me, I'm not sure when the issue was actually introduced, as I upgraded twice without starting DCS over the last month and also installed the F4U. === Log opened UTC 2025-07-29 09:49:55 2025-07-29 09:49:56.156 INFO EDCORE (Main): Platform Timer Resolution: 15.73ms 2025-07-29 09:49:56.651 INFO EDCORE (Main): Created boot pool: n:20 2025-07-29 09:49:56.652 INFO APP (Main): Command line: "D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe" 2025-07-29 09:49:56.652 INFO APP (Main): DCS/2.9.18.12722 (x86_64; 25. I never have the problem. For me it was just a case of finding the right Allen key tension (using really small increments). Like I say, it needs the odd tighten every now and then (rarely), but on the whole I just don't think about it. I have the Strike Eagle and Viper grips, so different weights of handle and they're both fine. There's no way I would have started ripping the thing apart to make it smoother.
