  3. I've had a peek through everything and can't see anything related to the issue. Only other thing installed was SRS, but I had removed that for a fresh install months before the issue, and re installed last night. It's had no effect. Again, thank you for the help - it's such an odd one, I had no trouble - until I did! I made a little video showing the issue.

  6. Really appreciate the open-mindedness here. The blind sim community is small — but incredibly dedicated. What’s great is that **none of this requires changes to the DCS engine itself**. Everything I’m suggesting can be done using **existing public interfaces** like `DCS-BIOS` and `Export.lua`. We’re not asking ED to rewrite core systems or overhaul the sim — just to help expose cockpit data in a way that tools can turn into audio or tactile output. If I were a developer myself, I would’ve already built a full accessibility layer on top of DCS-BIOS. But my own background is more in **Linux systems, Proxmox, and backend admin work** — so I rely on collaboration with devs who know these tools inside out. Still, I’m ready to test, document, and support any progress in this area. The potential is all there — just waiting to be unlocked.

  8. No, I don’t know how to make the adjustments IC compliant. Would be nice seeing it’s only a tiny visual tweak inside the cockpit. Perhaps someone with better computer skills knows how.

  17. That would really help move things forward with Steam. Thank you! You can try a support ticket and see if they can help you, but I don't think we have quite thrown in the towel yet on the F-15E, so while we understand some wanting to, we are hoping people will try and stick it out.
  18. If anything, my belief is that attempting to engage US bombers over England would have finished off the Luftwaffe even faster, as they would have lost pilots much quicker. The 1000+ aircraft redeployed as a result of DDay weren’t just from France. On top of that, the Allies knew they were being sent and also which airfields they were going to, which made them easy pickings. Those 1000 made no significant difference.
  19. The other I know of is F-14 with 3 adjustable mirrors for the pilot. I wish DCS mirrors were of better quality and have correct reflections though.
  20. The "random failures" option is a DCS feature that will automatically activate failures from the list of available failures in the ME at random. It works on all aircraft by default.
  21. In DCS you get Tone only in longitudal. IRL you would hear it the seaker locks. Especially usefuly in shlem (which also has more nore symbology than in DCS, see ka50).
  22. Concur. These super detailed AI ground units look great in screenshots and cinematics, but for most players they are IR spectral dots on a TGP. Even the Helo guys shouldn't be close enough to be counting rivets. If CA was a properly fleshed out element then maybe it would make more sense, but the development speed <= => unit detail slider, is way too far to the right, and while the units look great, releasing 2 or 3 a year is just glacial. I'd much prefer objects at half, or even a quarter of the detail but produced at a quicker pace to allow more variety and temporal relevance for historical scenarios. Maybe that's just me though. I do feel that the sweet spot is somewhere between the FS2004-esque C-17 and the beautifully modelled new M1A1. It does make decent performance with high unit counts tough with these new super-detailed models, to the point that a lot of the time I will chose older ones as ground targets to keep the FPS up. Anyway, a bit off topic though.
  23. yeah, it's a shame how so many people demand the ability to see the welds and bolts on an M1 Abrams or T-72 when the majority of us will be squinting at it through an MFD wired to a T-Pod... or pulling out of a dive a couple thousand feet above it as a 2,000lb gift pile-drives into the ground next to it. I can understand it for the helo pilots, after all... they get MUCH closer to the unit in question... but I'd still argue that ground units need to be optimized for performance not visual fidelity. After all, if you're an Apache pilot recreating the 1991 Gulf War, the dozens of T-72s, T-55s, and BMPs that you and your 15 wingmen are engaging... the mission NEEDS to run smoothly... even as turrets head to the moon.

  25. I made it work! I sincerely apologize for unnecessarily keeping busy this place. I reinstalled powershell with checking the option boxes while scrolling through the loading pages which I didnt do at my previous install, and done! now I am able to use script and reduce texture process! Thank you all for your help!
  26. Thanks for reply! Just to clarify — Steam Support told me they can consider a refund as an exception, but only if Eagle Dynamics confirms that it authorizes such a refund (due to the current state of the F-15E module). Would it be possible for ED to issue a general statement like: “We authorize refunds for Steam purchases of the F-15E module in exceptional cases, if Steam deems it appropriate.” That would really help move things forward with Steam. Thank you!
