  2. Ordered the Herc last night. If I fly in MP, and I want my buddy simply to be loadmaster (or simply ride on the ramp at the back) they're going to have to buy the module right, like other multicrew modules in DCS? i.e. there's no way for some module slots to be 'free'. I'm kinda wishing it was a bit like Star Citizen, in the sense that someone owns the aircraft but guests can fly onboard, but I'm assume it's a DCS limitation that can't be got round
  3. Yep, completely agreed - the P-12/18 are already the more appropriate acquisition radars for the SA-2 and, as VHF radars, would likely not provide warning of their presence to our RWRs, nor would they be targetable by current western ARMs. The P-37 (alongside the PRV-11 and DRL-7) already has an appropriate model, in the right format, that's animated and has a destroyed variant to boot, something that's existed for over a decade at this point. I really do not understand why it hasn't been implemented as a functional EWR considering just how prolific it is and how it would be a far more suitable stand in for P-14 for the SA-5. The P-40 (or rather the 1RL128, P-40 is the entire complex) if we had IADS capability, would do wonders for the various PVO-SV system we have and the model is almost identical to the 1S12 used in the SA-4.
  4. "Res. of cockpit displays" setting works also for the mirrors currently but something more than 1024 would be nice these days. I don't know exactly what's wrong with the mirror images. It feels worst when closing your head to the mirror, like some distance or fov value is counted backwards to RL but I'd be glad if they improve/fix it for all modules.
  5. Hi, this has been reported to the team already, but is lower priority currently. thank you
  6. Presumably, it's due to optimization. I used to work with Blender, and it's easier to render 2 cameras at once than 4 that's pretty logical. Currently, new graphics cards could probably handle it, but in VR, it would be a problem. They could give an option to simply render 4 cameras: our view and 3 for the mirrors, so that, just like in the real world, the angle of reflection would equal the angle of incidence if someone is playing on a monitor. However, if someone is playing in VR, they could just render 2 cameras, with the mirrors still working, but the reflections would be calculated with some kind of algorithm, like in the screenshots you sent. Probably, one camera is 'attached' to our view, but in the opposite direction, which is why the angle of reflection isn't equal to the angle of incidence. There could also be an option to set the resolution of these cameras, like for MFDs so players could customize the quality of the reflections and get <profanity>ty but correctly working mirrors and more FPS. Although now I see that in the right mirror on the last screenshot, the resolution is still lower.
  8. Maybe, and if its not for him, thats totally fine. But I know some, including myself who did not know what they were missing. So I wave the sign, just as I do for VR, but its just a hint.

  10. I get your point, and I'm not trying to be rude or inflammatory. I want it fixed. I want the product I purchased to live up to the fidelity level we've come to expect from DCS. Currently it doesn't. I'm willing to help that process, but it's maddening to put hours of effort into testing, only to have someone else chime in half-cocked that everything is hunky-dory. Your comment summarized is "Did you consider the nuances of aviation airspeed?". And the answer here and in other similar threads is yes. The nuances of of true versus indicated and knot versus miles per hour were calculated, and it's still coming in slow. My grievance isn't with you individually, it's DCS forums thing. No matter how much data you provide, there's always contingency who argue in the contrary. Almost like disagreeing for the disagreeing's sake. And it results in the inability to even substantiate something is a bug, like where we are with the F4u. This hasn't even been acknowledged as a bug yet.
  11. Does this imply that buddy-lasing for another type from a Ka-50 is actually working nowadays?

The only 9.12A Warsaw pact export variant in inventory of Serbian Air Force and Air Defense. Donated in 2017 and was one of the last operational MiG-29A in Europe, if not the last. Short lived, btw. It was upgraded not long after donation to SM+ standard. Serbian serial designation number: 18151.
  13. Today
  14. Updated to this earlier, Rock steady 90fps.... however the image was full of swirls except for around the centre?? There was no stuttering that I could see Any ideas for settings to counter the swirls please? regards
  15. Thank you for the purchase. Please remember any images or videos shown are from dev versions and are work in progress.
  16. Thanks @quantum97! Cool mirrors but the reflections are still very wrong as we can see in the dev images: Bought anyway, on ED shop, as always
  17. For me it was a double bind of the Salute action. When the pilot model is doing the the salute animation, control input is temporarily blocked.
  18. UPDATE v1.1 Hello guys, new update is up. The cockpit model was redone — most parts rebuilt from the ground up and retextured. The exterior also got some fixes: corrected damage model (no more parts showing when they shouldn’t after damage), added bort number on the front landing gear, boarding ladder, and intake covers for parked/static aircraft.Flight model was adjusted to remove the unrealistic supercruise. Smaller tweaks include engine sound update. Unfortunately for now fabric cover doesn't work as it should on parked (not static) aircraft with open canopy clipping through it, so it was removed until it could be added properly in the future.
  19. question, can EW function in this script defeat SAMS in High Digit Sam mod such as upgraded S-300 and S-400? this one https://github.com/dcs-sams/HighDigitSAMs-Ultimate-Compilation
  20. Something might have happened after the last patch. I'll have to check it out because this option 100% worked here. Also, it's worth disabling any other mods. Sometimes they can break things when it comes to the AI too. Try again, and if there's a problem, just "skip" the mission.
  21. Понятно.. как и было! Одно сделают - попутно рабочее другое ломается
  22. I put it here for you, we have independent mirrors and a nice parachute. DCS_MiG29_Mirrors_1.mp4 DCS_MiG29_Mirrors_2.mp4 DCS_MiG-29A_Drogue_chute.mp4
  23. I paid 5 EUR less on DCS standalone. Always buy first hand. Standalone gives you miles program. For example: when you pre-order mig-29A with price 55.99USD you will get 5.59 USD worth of discount for any other purchase. Updates are received before Steam, better discounts, a bit cheaper modules. Nothing is better on Steam, speaking of DCS.
  24. What engine does the present day F4U-1D use? (the one you flew) Most restored F4Us do not use the -8W. what octane/fuel grade was it using?
  25. Download dedicated server and run missions from tjere. The tracks still breaks, but they work 80%, 80% of the time. You'll need to set off another 200+ gigs to run the dedicated server.
  26. Remove mods, repair and clean DCS. If still bugged - upload a track and dcs.log files.
