investigating Radar losing lock way too easy in all modes.
Pavlin_33 replied to LaCiKa's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes, MiG-29's radar was pecifically developed for WVR with a max detection range of around few kilometers. The 27Rs were designed to be initially guided using M-link, and then they would home in using pilot's eyballs. -
Also, you are running from the bin-mt folder. Rather launch from the \bin folder. See

Massive stutters, especially in MP close to objects
Ulukaii replied to Ulukaii's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Holy smokes. To my surprise, switching from bin-mt to bin and NOT running as administrator led to 2hrs of smooth gameplay. Will try again later and if stable, mark as resolved. Earth seems to be a globe after all -

An update would be really great. Working windshield wipers, please. And working sunglasses or tinted visors would also be a welcome improvement. I would gladly pay for this without hesitation. Please consider it.

You are certainly right from a technical perspective. But when we are talking about actual use-cases from an aviation-minded perspective, it makes sense to have divert fields programmed in there. But who knows…the eastern block countries often operated quite differently from how western aircrew did.

Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
OmasRachE replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
@-Rudel- So about a month after your last post in this thread, is there anything new to tell about the Taxi Bug? Are the devs working on it, and is there a timeframe when we can expect a fix? Thank you. -
Hi, another naive question as I am looking at the Q3 range now having soaked up many of the above comments. For dedicated DCS sim and not living room tennis, is it necessary to have 128 gb or 512 gb unit and do I need the hand controllers or a battery pack if I am seated in one spot with DCS sim ? Thank you

Cyclic trimmer not working correctly in instant mode (FFB)
tekwoj replied to tekwoj's topic in Bugs and Problems
There's no need to do that on modern ffb bases or at least not on moza ab9, the force direction is correct. If I check the swap axis the stick stays in the wrong position after releasing the trimmer. I've checked the ffb gain curves - it seems to just work as a curve for input. If I set it then the neutral input is not anymore where the trimmer is. The problem remains, those few frames when old trim value is present after release is causing the base to pull to the old trim position. Either the trim has to keep moving with the stick when trimmer is depressed or the event order has to be changed - when player release trimmer the trim position is moved first and the magnetic brake is engaged after. -
Engine restart procedure
Raven (Elysian Angel) replied to Michael-Fr's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Yes I had the exact same issue when practicing tail slides on release day. Funny thing is, while the “RH engine” light keeps flickering and the rpm meter seems to indicate the engine flamed out, that after landing and pulling both throttles to OFF, you see both rpm gauges winding down - as if the flamed out engine actually did restart but is stuck at 105% rpm for some reason -

draconus started following Flashing stars

Yeah, this is normal in DCS and watching the stars from Earth's atmosphere can result in similar effect. Also some starts are unrealistically bigger (in pixel size) - this may be a feature to make the brighter stars stand out more but looks bad, esp. in VR.

Also thought the trees were a bit close to the taxiway… anything a bit beefier than a fighter ( looking at you c130) might have some issues
