  2. Hi. How do I talk with wingmen online? Is there an option in game. Or is there a program that I have to install?
  3. The FLIR Gain rotating button of the TEDAC in the CPG position, under the LEV button is moving with keyboard keys or mouse action but returns immediately to mid position. The change in gain is not taken into account.
  4. The correct way to do that works have been to buy one. That was the opportunity to show interest. People saying they would buy one with no commitment means very little. Then add in the many people that would say they'd buy one but then don't and you can multiply by 10 again.
  5. Happy to oblige chaps ... if you can make it work I will do something for you, willingly.
  6. I did a quick google search because I wasn't sure, but is this what you need? dcs.log
  7. Agreed. I haven't flown enough to know if it's a problem for me. But so far so good. But of course if people are getting sick and can't play ED has to accommodate those.
  8. Do you see a change in the axis value corresponding to that small amount of play? This will provide a clue as to where the problem is.
  9. Update to my last post. I created a new mission, and plopped a super carrier near. I was able to communicate with the Roosevelt without issue, both thru the comms menu and Viacom Pro. There is an issue with Viacom Pro, the "Select tunes radio" works, but doesn't switch the frequency on the receiver and it reports back the frequency 000.000. I can communicate just fine. I'll pass this on to the Viacom Pro team as I do some testing for them. Also, when contacting Roosevelt thru the comms menu, the frequency doesn't change on the receiver, but I can communicate with the boat. Can't remember for sure if it should switch the frequency, I believe since the receiver is not tuned it should not be able to communicate with the boat... but I can communicate. The TACAN didn't work with the new mission, but I made the changes that @deeleyer identified and no issue with receiving the TACAN now.
  10. I agree, I learned the basics on the Su-25T over a decade ago, but as the topic is about "best trainer" I will stick with my requisite of two seats , I matters to users that belong to virtual squadrons, or even to those users that are being introduced to dcs by a more experienced friend where they would do MP without a public server
  11. You could just cut that end off and solder it to a USB cable
  12. Hey@Devil 505, such sling loading would be more of a DCS core feature rather than one for the CH-47 alone. Currently, the Chinook development is focused on finishing the native modes of the DAFGCS, and then the next big thing should be a new multi-rope system. This has already started on the engineering side of development. Thanks.
  13. Entirely possible that lighthouse position tracking compared to SLAM may have a different performance cost. Someone with the crystal lighthouse faceplate could test that. Limiting FPS in DCS has to be slightly above the refresh rate in my case or I get stutters. DCS output varies between 89 and 91 FPS very briefly but enough to cause stutters. My FPS cap in DCS is set at 95 because of that.
  14. is there a way I can salvage the bar I have? I just ordered a couple, not sure what tool I need to put the pins in though.
  15. Has anyone tried connecting a bluetooth mouse to the vr headset itself instead of your pc? Maybe there's an app that makes the mouse read as a controller or something, I'm gonna see if I can find anything.
  16. Not sure if this will help but I had this issue and was advised to use different keys for head recentre (DCS) and for XRNecksafer. I have not had the issue for a while now. May just be coincidence.
  17. @Kang I believe the individual launchers have some kind of tracking radar and saclos, because I have been hit without rwr signal, but I do see the launchers on ELINT and rwr sometimes as well. If they already have a lock on you, then destroying the search radar won't protect you because the search radar is just for searching, not for tracking. Once the search radar is destroyed, their behaviour is completely ambiguous as shown in the track I posted, at first it's like they don't need a search radar, then after a while they stop trying.
  18. Hi all, just a reminder of our 1.16 rule, please do not post documents here. If you do want us to check a document a PM is the best option thank you
  19. Hi Silverdevil. This is a more current version I've been working on. Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated. The units might be set as return fire in this version while I was working stuff out. Regardless, I can't get them to stay in the zone. Six Pack Proto.miz
  20. Agreed! This has been happening since Multithreaded implementation. Single Threaded didn't had this issue, only on DCS MT executable. 2 monitors here. Second monitor responds normally. I can open a browser window meanwhile DCS is "shutting down" and there is not much CPU and Storage activity when this happen. 64gb Ram here. It would be nice if it behaved like ST did when closing DCS.
  21. USAF PACAF 354FW 354OG 18AGRS Remake WIP
  22. Why does DCS take just as long to shutdown as it does to startup?? It wouldn't be an issue if it didn't Hijack the monitor with a backscreen during the shutdown process! I don't actually care why it does it.. I just want it fixed so it does not.
  23. Certain stpt ranges are designated for certain functions. 500-699 is for various data one of which is shared coordinate data between wingmen (which creates a L16 markpoint). Whereas, 26-30 is designated for your own created markpoints, and then 21-25 which is used for MGRS entry. And hopefully in the near future 31-55 is for creating GEO Lines. But don't get it wrong, you can still use those for regular stpt data but you should get in the habit of leaving them open in order to use their actual function. Real world, pilots typical just use a few or the first 20 stpts for route planning. The other hundreds of stpts are used for various things like landmarks, other airfields within the area of operation to include divert/emergency airfields, Geo lines and markpoints as mentioned, preplanned threats, IPs, the list goes on and on.
  24. ... a 8196 size option would be amazing. And would it be possible to either have an option, or completely remove the added dots at vertex positions? null
