  2. We all have our own preferences. I think it's a good thing that we're moving towards more realistic modeling of RWR's. The perfectly timed dance between missile launch-RWR warning-notch is such a DCS-ism and it makes the gameplay very predictable. Ideally, changes would be implemented for all modules, but it is likely something that will happen slowly over time. A few days ago ED made a post about Mi-24P SPO-10 changes. Aircraft like AJS-37 Viggen, JF-17 F-4E, F-14 already has complex RWR's implemented. Upcoming F-14A (early) and F-100 will also feature a more complex RWR. Modern fighters like F-16C, F/A-18C and JF-17 is obviously a little more problematic. But they are not really the main opponents for the MIG-29A Fulcrum. I am all for options. Don't get me wrong. Some players like a more accessible and gameplay-like approach. That's why I also suggested adding R-77 as an option if we're already asking for more SPO-15 options. Possibility to tailor the aircraft to how the players want to fly it.
  3. Yes. Let's say Flag 3 is for a random value between 1 and 3 inclusive. Set that on a Mission Start event. Then for the Condition of the aircraft start/activation you do this: TSF xx 1200 Flag 3 = 1 OR TSF xx 2400 Flag 3 = 2 OR TSF 3600 Flag 3 = 3 Is that what you are looking for? WC's Flags.txt
  4. Platform: Windows 11 DCS version: 2.9.20.15384 Steps to reproduce: Open Mission Editor. Create an aircraft unit with a waypoint. On the waypoint, add an Advanced Action "Perform Command > Script File" and select a .lua file containing the single line: trigger.action.outText("command executed", 10) (Optional) In the same waypoint also add a "Perform Command > Run Script" (inline) action with a similar "trigger.action.outText(...)" line for comparison. Start the mission and fly the unit over the waypoint (or let AI reach it). Expected result: the message "command executed" appears for 10 seconds when the waypoint action triggers. Actual result: the inline "Run Script" action executes and shows the text, but the "Script File" action does not execute / no message appears. Additional info / notes: I checked the DCS.log for Lua errors after mission run. There were no visible errors. I verified the .lua file was embedded into the .miz (opened the .miz with a ZIP tool and saw the Lua file under l10n\DEFAULT path). Attached files: Minimal reproduction mission DCS.log from the run Please tell me if you’d like me to attach anything else. Thank you! bug-wp-action-script-file.miz dcs.log
  5. How does Vulkan fit into this? Is Vulkan going to give DCS better capabilities. This is my concern too. Microsoft has over the past few years shown it no longer releases updates that benefit the user, but benefit them at the determent of the user- while continuing to remove features from Windows. WMR was one of the more recent examples of this, and if it wasn't for one very gifted person who has provided a workaround for this, a lot of headsets would be paperweights now. I have no trust in Microsoft's future, and expect more things to be 'taken away' as they move forward into their new vision and have slowly been migrating to applications that are multi-platform. DCS is the only reason I still have a Windows PC at home. I made the switch early away from Adobe, and while it was painful at the time, no where near as painful as people who stayed onboard, and then switched later. I'm wanting to do the same thing and get away from Microsoft earlier while it will be less painful.
  6. Thanks for the reports, I will check the mission as soon as I get back home, as I’m currently on a short trip. best regards, Eduardo PS, here is a video I recorded when this mission was finished, can you tell me please in what moment of the procedure you get this issue?
  7. Without knowing the legal and contractual implications, I wonder whether it would make sense or be possible to make the source code of abandoned modules available as open source to the DCS community, thereby making it available for further development.
  8. Grande Karon.
  9. I had been troubleshooting various issues. I did reset DCS and all associated programs to not use the Run as Administrator option. No issues since.
  10. Bug or not, it has been like this for decades, or probably forever. ED has had plans to update it someday, but as we all know, this is probably a few decades away too.
  11. So, peasants it is then. Okay, no shame in that
  12. I was hoping to do to the chair, but not sure how practical it is. I can see what you mean though - a solid solution would be better. I do have some monstertech mounts already, so will keep that in mind, thanks. Thanks. That's encouraging to hear. My chair is on rollers, and swivels so I can get in/out of the room/area. (not a lot of room), so to know that monster mount would be suitable in this instance is quite encouraging. Thanks! However my chair doesn't have the indent yours does, so will be interesting to see if I could get it to work with my setup. Thanks for the replies -that does indeed help me understand more of the possibilities!
  13. Ну так их никто не заставляет покупать игру
  14. it would be really good if these "fixes" were added by Eagle Dynamics themselves
  15. А он так и должен с включеным тормозом передней стойки рулиться?
  16. Absolutely needed, yes. +1
  17. On that note for the UK side we need Lynx HAS.2 and AH.1 (sea and land) variant and also Harrier GR.3 and a Sea Harrier FRS.1. -Woog
  18. And again, then what about this few just as a quick example: Plus all the magical RWRs, these are all "casual" when it comes to your term. At that point, all of this should be removed as well? This is not asking for making everything work like the previus one does. but allowing people of making a choice. If you want your missions to have the more "realistic" SPO-15, then you can set it in the mission editor, or if you don't then you have other options. In the end you are still playing a game flying virtual jets. There is no such as "casual" or "hardcore"
  19. I had the same problem until I forced with the stick up and down. Now I'm stuck at 21 select TCN or WYPT. Both are illuminated and won't go off after clicking on one or the other.
  20. It's WIP but it has a lot of limitations currently. Aircraft state (cockpit/systems) is not saved yet.
  21. Hello, I've a problem with a number of Mi-8 skins I downloaded from the user files section. The bort numbers on the tail boom do not work anymore. This even is the case with default liveries which came with the standard installation. I posted this here: I also had a look at several description.lua files and still haven't figured out which of the "mi_8_BALKA..." entries is responsible for which dynamic number part on left or right side. Is there an English guide for dummies on how to setup and use all the bort numbers correctly? Setting "...DECAL ,"empty",true};" at the end disables the number completely, I guess? But this would look weird on liveries which are build having a fixed bort number part in front of the dynamic bort numbers. Thanks Jens
  22. Hi, when refueling on the ramp with an empty centerline tank and nearly full internal tanks, the centerline tanks won't be full after refueling ends. It seems that the fuel transfer *to* centerline is slow and the internal tanks are full before, stopping the refueling process. I guess it's the same with wing tanks. And rearming wont replace the external tanks with "new" ones, unless I first remove it and then add it back. It looks like a bug to me but maybe I'm not doing the refueling process correctly (I didn't select anything wrt. transfert, xfeed etc.)
  23. To all who worked on the T-45 ... Thank you for your hard work!!! Go ahead!
  24. LOL I wasn't being sarcastic I promise - I didn't know the save mission thingy wasn't a 'save state' kind of thing.
