I did wonder if you planned to remove the core game assets that have been added officially from the mod packs or are there some differences still that say they should be in both? You're onto something. It helps a little, but the problem is still there. Even if I put the setting on "ultra", the glimmer and blurring is still there, but it is definitely better. But, of course, this comes at the expense of performance too. I can jack the customized setting up above 80% and still getting decent frames on my 4080 rig. I have not tried on my 5090 yet. This all begs the question though. What the hell changed? I was getting beautiful visuals and excellent performance on both headsets. Now they are both suffering from this issue. It can't just be you and me. There must be others experiencing this.

You can add MB-339 to the list. I would be happy with a FAQ that shows how someone can copy one of the other profiles and manually update their own.

Just wanted to suggest adding the MH-60K Black Hawk to DCS. It’s been highly requested, and unlike the UH-60M, the MH-60K has full documentation already available on archive.org, link below. The materials are all there, ready to go, so there’s a real chance to get it into the game. In DCS Questions and Answers - February 2025, it was mentioned that the UH-60M isn’t possible right now due to the lack of documentation, but that’s not an issue with the MH-60K. Plus, the MH-60K comes with some awesome features like the AN/APQ-174B terrain-following radar and improved weapons capabilities and of course MFDs. Additionally, it’s probably the most recognizable Black Hawk ever, and when people think of a Black Hawk, they’re probably imagining the MH-60K, which was featured in the movie Black Hawk Down. I've got everything working correctly. The problem was a setting issue in the DCS add on. I had both boxes checked in the Reshade technique For VR. The text is confusing and leads you to believe both need to be checked (at lest it did for me.) At any rate it's working, including turning on and off with Alt-F5.

Had the same issue - and yes I was on 4YA. Tried the instant action cold start mission and it worked fine...

Why do we still not have GCI simulated in DCS? All I can do is ask for the nearest bandit and get a heading, but not any actual commands to follow to intercept. Asking for confirmation from AWACS/EWR is also useless many times as they won't respond.

I don't know what to tell you, other than that they are absolutely from a real C-130J... we recorded them over the course of 2 days after getting approval from the USAF. As others have mentioned, the planes in these videos are C-130H variants, which sound very different. I would also caution against using videos recorded using cellphone microphones as a point of comparison against what the actual airplane sounds like.

It is because the cause of the bug is whats called "undefined behavior". It surfaces for you in a "random" (but deterministic) way and btw changes with each DCS update.
