  2. Last thing I'll say in this topic, then I'm out: ED removed the Game Avionics Mode from the sim half a decade ago for one simple reason - no one was using it. Easy, learning to fly, fun time is not what brings people to DCS. the 99.999 percent is here to be challenged by study level sims and maximum realism, and flying combat against other humans and (eventually) competent AI. It's not about The Four Forces of Flight here. That's baby stuff. ED isn't wasting development time (money) for the one tenth of one percent that will never recoup their costs to develop and maintain that functionality, because again, that's what MSFS is for. Hardcore simmers go back and forth all the time. That's OK, too. And the cost to the consumer is NOT an argument. "Oh wahhh I have to pay for two sims" Yeah, you do. Grow up. This is flight simming. From the sims to the powerhouse rigs that are required to run a flight sim with any visual quality (which, despite what's mentioned earlier IS a concern for most of us) to the multitude of joysticks, rudders, throttles, yokes and other controls you will buy as an adherent to this hobby, cost is for 12 year olds to lament. To them I say this: 1 - Study hard, do god in school. 2 - Go to college and get a degree that earns you money, or some other lucrative path. 3 - Get a good job to support your hobbies. You will have more than one. 4 - Make enough to get a place that has a room dedicated to your flight sim rig. No one is here to support your "I can't afford it" whinging about how much stuff costs.
  3. @Mistermann Thank you for this post! Three years later, I find this and its perfect guidance on creating realistic comms audio files. Thank you! Thank you!

  5. К F-18 до сих пор только руководство РД. За 7 лет так и не нашлось времени сделать полноценное.

  10. Could not find anymore real-life videos with heavy rain at launch. I just setup a "Heavy Summer Thunderstorm" mission at Nellis in the F-16 and took some screenshots at various speeds on takeoff to have some comparisons as to how fast the rain drop streaks are dissipating. Here is that sequence from stopped on the runway, to 74-knots, then to 184-knots. This does not look too bad, it was definitely looking much better at 74-knots which is consistent with my vague memories from over 50-years ago in the F-100. Still some streaking on the sides of the canopy at 74-knots, which seems reasonable. The canopy geometry would impact this as well. My concern was the effect while up in the 300-knot+ range - DCS seems to show a little more canopy rain effect at those speeds than I would have imagined in real life. Any former F-16 pilots out there that could give some input?
  11. Hey North Korea decided to celibate DCS MIG-29 with something we might find interesting
  12. I Think that happens when the cursor goes offsceen on desktop , like when cursor moves onto the taskbar, at least that happens to me in VR , just move the cursor back to the DCS Desktop screen and it will make the issue go away , hope this helps , VietGirl
  13. Something I'm curious about with the FF MiG-29 seeming to be around the corner finally, how is ED setting up the RSBN beacons? Are they doing the same thing with R_NAV_data.lua files? Or is it going to be something that'll be built-in to the maps and an additional option to put a beacon like we can with the TACAN beacons in the mission editor? And if that's the case will the MiG-21 be able to utilize them? This would just compound the BS that the MiG-21 is just an abandoned module when the MiG-29 can utilize RSBN on all the maps and the MiG-21 can't because it's an abandoned module and won't be getting updated to fill those gaps.
  14. unfortunately I’m not holding my breath on it …
  15. You really need to go through the training and tutorial playlists because it looks like you're having a much harder time than you should be. This is Wags tutorials. He's the lead producer of DCS. This is Casmo. He was a Kiowa Warrior and Apache pilot.
  16. Would there be any interest of creating FF ground vehicles that are at the Aircraft level of detail? The title of the game is Digital Combat Simulator. I know we have Combine Arms and all however, I think we some FF ground Vehicles. Is there any interest from the community for this? ZSU-23-4 'Shilka' Leopard 2A1 T-80B M1 'Abrams' (1980) BRDM-3 (9P124) Just to name a few. Not necessarilly asking for them.
  17. Will do, thanks for that. Yes I'm using it constantly.
  18. Bump Are there plans to make the new weapon available? @BIGNEWY

    VIEWPORTS

Hello guys, I'm exporting almost all viewports for all planes but I cant resolve a couple, is there a way to do this?: Export Mirage 2000 RWR Export F-4 radar and rwr Viggen radar and maveric tv Anyone knows the actual viewport names for those?
  20. UPDATE 17 May 2025 The thing that keeps me going with DCS is the passion of it's user base, as Nick from ED often lets us know. Truly though, it is amazing the level of commitment to improving the usability of the game, from the great ideas to drive Vaicom forward and make it even more accessible to DCS pilots, to the awesome scripts and mods that continue to make the experience better for everyone. VSPX export has always been a little broken and thanks to some ideas from @sleighzy we now have a complete and expanded keywords export function for VSPX users that mirrors the regular Vaicom use case. So here comes Vaicom 3.0.3.0. on your auto updaters and GitHub. Vaicom Releases This update adds a feature request for VSPX/Whisper Attack users to have imported F10 menu items copied to the clipboard during the Editor finish steps; this allows an updated keywords list including these commands to be easily pasted to the Vaicom for DCS World.vap keywords section. It also makes many backend changes to the code including a general clean up and database reorganization to make my life easier. - Adds new VSPX keywords export function. - F10 and dynamically matched F10 keyword export for VSPX. - Update DCSMessageTable to the latest version. - Update all DCS core lua files to ensure return to original on Voice Attack exit. - Tidy up Database to make DCS Modules more logically ordered. - Remove code notes that are no longer relevant or fixed. VSPX USERS NEED TO DO FINISH IN THE EDITOR AND PASTE THE NEW KEYWORD SET TO THE PROFILE AS DESCRIBED IN THE MANUAL. Stay keyboard free!

  21. I just purchased the Quest 3 about 4 months ago and everything was working fine. Some how I ended up scratching the lenses. I picked up another one about a month ago and now I am having some sort of border like issues with DCS. Every time that I try to click the join button on multiplayer, or in the key binds menu the Ok/Join/Cancel buttons when clicked give me the window out of focus error as if I have clicked off or tabbed out of DCS. I have set and unset full screen/with and without constrain mouse. I am not sure what to do so I wanted to ask here and see if anyone has had the same issue. Thank you in advance for your help!
  22. No clear information about this on the Discord.
  23. I had the same thought. Hope it doesn't become a thing.
  24. Violent Nomad is working on a Vietnam era Cobra right now. I posted my Cobra variant as the AH-1T 'Improved Sea Cobra'. I like of the idea of the Ka-27 that was posted earlier. It is already in the game as AI. I don't really know how ASW will work in this SIM. It would be nice to have and would open the door to the SH-60B Seahawk, SH-3H Seaking, UH-Y1 Venom ect.....
  25. I guess we will need to wait for the EF2000, then the next F4, then another secret project, then another F4, and maybe then we will get the A6 AI, and then another 10 years for the A6E. Heatblur likes to add aircraft in front of the A6E
  26. They realistically never got close enough to matter. The one WVR engagement between an Eagle and Fulcrum had the Fulcrum on the defensive the entire time. Far more telling is that inspite of occasional getting detection or locks no Fulcrum ever fired their decidedly not export R27R at a collation aircraft.
  27. We're all on the same boat right now man, we're waiting on the PR and GD to move forward. Can't wait though, this is going to be awesome!
